  1. Welcome. There is no cure - even the wife can't cure OCCD. To process images, I use Microsoft "Snip-It" and Microsoft "Paint." Snip it does a quick and dirty screen capture, you can copy to the clipboard. Open Paint, and past it. Then, use "Resize" in Paint. It will pop up a dialog box that you can click to "pixels", and the first cell go to "800" pixels wide (I think that is the recommended width for the forum). And the aspect ratio will be retained. Then save the MS Paint file as a .JPG file. In the message editor, select the icon that looks like a landscape/mountain on the right side of the tool bar. Follow the prompts - go slow, sometimes uploading takes a moment or two. When you click on the tools, give it a few seconds..., your "doin' this in the cloud..." across servers and stuff. Good luck. And, welcome again.
  2. Welcome! Great to have someone from Italy. I may need to ask you some Sonus Faber questions one day. We're good with translated English. What gear do you listen to? Any pictures? This is a fun place to learn. Welcome.
  3. I use Discwasher. The current brand is made by RCA, and the solution is now D4+. They are regularly on sale on amazon for around $15. List is $32 or so. Here's the current "Amazon Prime" $15 sale link: http://www.amazon.com/RCA-RD-1006-Discwasher-Record-System/dp/B000KMZKTO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1393912686&sr=8-1&keywords=discwasher I always keep a spare on hand, and rotate them out after a few hundred cleanings - at this price. Like others, someday, something better, but for now, this works. I find being generous with the D4+, does a better job.
  4. Welcome. My story is similar, bought my first Carver Amp in the 80's. I had a great rig, and when the economy tanked, it was the last thing I was going to turn to cash to survive. Sold the beer making hobby equipment for $0.07 on the dollar, half my tools, my room full of work-out equipment, and just about everything that had meaning..., Then, my wife lets me off the hook - says: "you really should keep your Carver." The economy picked up for me, then I get the itch, and start adding. The last year of adding has been fun - leave it at that. Became active here, after lurking for a years, seeking guidance on a CD drive. I have to finish an Epi 400 tower rebuild (laid out all over my listening room) then I'll get pictures of the 4 Carver systems I have going, and shared for fun here. This is a great forum to be part of - no doubt. Passing the good karma welcome I received only a week ago.
