  5. Huh? That was an unfortunate page break..., the pic on the prior page from Phil (fill35u) was:
  6. Clearly a set-up for Sonic Holography. Very nice!

  9. I see I've awakened the monster! How about a little B.O.C.?
  10. It's a Lego model of downtown! It's actually a bunch of Burmester gear. And Sonus Faber "Aida" speakers (up front). Sonus Faber was recently bought by the same Fine Sounds group who bought McIntosh, Wadia, and Audio Research. Isn't that Godzilla peeking around the tower? The origin of Godzilla is readioactivity (fear of)..., so, with all that power, Rodan, Mothra and Megalon should be along shortly!
  11. Welcome to the forum, Chris. This the right place to nurture OCCD (Obsessive Carver Collecting Disorder). Some say it's in your DNA. My son has it too. Pics of your gear always welcome.
  12. Really Big Blue VU meters. Xanvier got me thinking.... found these on ebay. Then..., I had to ask myself, "What I couldn't have done in College, with a pair of these in my dorm room!" (videos at bottom) The ones above are out of Slovakia. Below is a youtube video of another design, with yellow and red max headroom indicators.
  13. Command Central. Auxiliary. Research Bench. That's the Knight Shadow on the desk, spreadsheet on the left, TheCarverSite on the right.
  14. For me, I fall back to Pink Floyd, "Time" The lyrics have so many applicable meanings. The one I like the most is to use the "ten years have got behind you..." when consulting with decision makers that have a difficult time making decisions. 17. Welcome. There is no cure - even the wife can't cure OCCD. To process images, I use Microsoft "Snip-It" and Microsoft "Paint." Snip it does a quick and dirty screen capture, you can copy to the clipboard. Open Paint, and past it. Then, use "Resize" in Paint. It will pop up a dialog box that you can click to "pixels", and the first cell go to "800" pixels wide (I think that is the recommended width for the forum). And the aspect ratio will be retained. Then save the MS Paint file as a .JPG file. In the message editor, select the icon that looks like a landscape/mountain on the right s
  18. Six-gang drum-homopolar pulse generators at the University of Texas at Austin - Center for Electromechanics... ...high current, high voltage I've heard that phrase before. Powerful, yes. Is it musical and accurate? No pacemakers allowed within how many feet?
  19. Welcome! Great to have someone from Italy. I may need to ask you some Sonus Faber questions one day. We're good with translated English. What gear do you listen to? Any pictures? This is a fun place to learn. Welcome.
