I just connected the Oppo right and left front RCA to the C-1. I play all stereo CD's this way. HDMI to the AV receiver for movies.

This thread is going cause me to buy several more albums.

I just ran across an article about KLH Audio. " KLH was purchased in 2017 by David P. Kelley, longtime Klipsch and VOXX executive ." They have an all new speaker line. Some of the models have specs that seem to good to be true. They break Hoffman's speaker law. The Albany bookshelf is one example. They are also re-releasing some the KLH vintage speakers, notable the KLH 9 full range electrostatic! I own KLH 6's and like them. I hope the new KLH audio is successful

When I was at Lone Star Audio Fest, Joshua Miles of JWM Acoustics recommended this Album by Ray Brown. It's a dual 45RPM LP. I bought it and can't argue with Josh's recommendation. Especially if you like jazz.

The refurb is complete and the speakers sound great. Much improved. Now I need to see what I can do to fix all the scratches like the one seen here on top.

I replaced the woofer gasket with some rope caulk to insure an airtight seal.

The new caps are installed. They are glued in with Amazing Goop.

Here is the stock crossover after removing the woofer and half the fiberglass stuffing. I replaced the crossover caps with Daytons from Parts Express. 2 2uF and 1 8uF for each.

The first speakers I ever had were KLH model 6. A gift from my parents when I graduated from high school. They have been in the closet for years because other speakers I've acquired sound better. I found that many people have been restoring them and the good sound comes back. Acoustic suspension speakers are supposed to be air tight. The cloth surrounds dry out and leak air. ebay seller vintage-ar has a sealant made for restoring the cloth surround. In hindsight, I should have applied the sealant las as it stays tacky and collects dust and fiberglass while working on the crossovers.

A couple years ago, at Lone Star Audio Fest, DSKIP had tidal on his phone feeding a bluetooth tube amplifier. I was quite impressed.

There are some speaker repair services that repair polydomes. Millersound does a very nice professional looking repair. I've seen positive reviews. Magicmarksy is an Infinity repair guru on eBay. He replaces the center of the polydome with a dustcap looking material. I think kev777 has done some this way. Here's Kevin's repair on his Kapp 9's.

Your C-11 does seem a bit faded. Maybe try some furniture cleaner/polish to see if it helps. Here's a pic of my C-11 on top of the TFM-24. Both are black, but the TFM-24 has a bit more gloss.

I was wondering about that too.. Fuses are rated in amps, resistors in watts. It sure would be a lot easier to use fuse instead of a zero ohm resistor.

I have a MKII amp that doesn't work. I pulled out JP2 and measured 0 ohms, verifying that it is a zero ohm resistor. You are welcome to use my amp if you need it. It's already out of the cube.

I would say the crossover should be set by your HT processor, not the amp. The crossover on the amp should be set to "FLAT". If I use the AV-634 for bi-amp duty, I'll remove it from the HT. The bi-amped system would be stereo. I agree that it should be set to flat in any case.

I have a Carver AV-634 4 channel amp. It has a built in crossover. I'm not sure if it is active or passive. I'm using it my HT system for center and surrounds, but I can swap it out if I need to. I'm not sure if I should use the AV-634 crossover or not.

I have been wanting to try this too. I have 2 pair of bi-ampable speakers and several Carver amps.
