  1. Welcome to the site. Those are very good amps. Well worth the money getting them restored.

    SPEAKER DILEMMA

I have finally received the last of the restored drivers from the Ohm corporation. One subwoofer is rebuilt and that's why the difference in appearance. Total of 5 drivers restored by them. It has taken about 10 months for this all to happen because of a couple of transitional periods that the corporation was going through. The service is still very very good to say the least. These are 1979 models that I acquired through a person that Greg and I met a year ago. Wow @Nahash5150 it's already been a year. Cant believe it. Our friend definitely had a huge collection of gear and after Greg and I met him I had to grab these speakers. He had 2 sets along with many more sets of other Ohm models. The late John @ the Ohm corporation used to call our supplier the Ohm Museum guy. He was well known for his collection. I was able to get these I's and the Walsh 4's that are in my Living room. I used to listen to the L's when I was in high school. My brother had an NAD receiver, Micro Seiki TT, along with the L bookshelf speakers. Those little speakers always impressed me. These I's were definitely worth waiting for. I have them paired with the M4.0t MKII that @Nahash5150 built for me a couple years ago and so far with the little time that I have fired them up for some early testing, I have found my speakers that can handle anything I have for power. Hey GREG!!! I hope you got your crossovers done and are enjoying your set too. Got some clean up work on the covers but other than that they are finished.

I love my Walsh 4's. I can hear both speakers from any direction. Amazing sound from these Ohm's.

    SPEAKER DILEMMA

Been working on these Ohm I's for about 6 months. Started by sending in the Mid-Woofers back in May and then John passed away so things were on idle for awhile. I sent in the subwoofer in October and received it pretty quickly. Also at the same time I had sent in the Low tweeters and had been waiting for them to be repaired. I talked to someone at the Ohm Corporation the other day, I really need to ask his name, and he told me by next week they would be shipped out. The subwoofer rebuild and shipping was free for my patience with everything. I thought that was very cool of the company to do that. I never expected that. I bought the caps and will install them this week. Yes, lots of projects to start the year. Cant wait to get these bad boys up and running.

  15. Speaking of these differences, I just brought my TT up from the system downstairs after listening to some Willie Nelson that is in a TGP 3 and PXm900 amp set up with JBL speakers. The upstairs setup consists of the CT7 and the Black Magic 25 tube and Walsh 4 speakers. That right there was enough to change the outcome in a large way.
  16. Well, Maybe sometimes and other times not. Depends on the recording quality and your equipment. But that being said, I prefer them both over streaming.

  22. So I got the board from @Will Meyer and if there are no objections, I think I will use an M200t chassis that has many missing parts. It already has a power switch. And @jeffs can you post a pic of your chassis?
