I have them at 12 inches from the wall. Not much choice of distance on the sides. I dont have much room to play with. My living room is a very large area with 19 ft ceiling so there is a lot of area to fill. Definitely do not any sub woofers with these Polk's. Tons of bass.

I have the M4.0t that @Nahash5150 restored and upgraded for me hooked up to them now with the CT7 from @itchitchand this set up is by far my best choice. I just received the Optical/RCA module today and set everything up. Going to be an exciting Saturday. I know these Polk's cant handle the full power but I am sure it will sound great and after a year of exercising the MKll I am very confident in the sound quality that is in store for this evening. Restored amp and speakers. Great combo.

If anyone has replaced the rubber surrounds on the 6.5 inch Polk drivers please share your experience. I have an old fried MW6510 that I want to practice on. These rubber surrounds aren't like your typical foam surrounds and seem a little more difficult to remove.

Thanks for the heads ups @BarryG

I have them hooked up to my Yamaha surround system for now. Need to get a Optical to RCA adapter. Man do they open it up while watching a movie.

They are the SDA SRS 2 3rd gen. Currently I have the PT1250 hooked to them. I think @BarryGshipped me the tweeters for one and @Daddyjtshipped me the umbilical cord. I joined the Polk forum to learn about the tweeter and crossover upgrades and decided to leave them stock for now. I have enough fabric to do the sides and I think the covers are in pretty good shape. Just need to re-glue some edges.

Its actually getting to be a normal thing these days. but just as long as I get 1600 hours in a year then I get the 1 year of service towards retirement and that's all I care about right now. I will post more pics but right now I will let the epoxy cure over night and get back on it tomorrow afternoon. It is drying up nicely.

Finally with all this extra time on my hands again this summer because of part shortages, yes I am laid off again. I pulled up the Polk's to the garage and giving them a cosmetic restore. Been wanting to do this for a long time but Benn enjoying them with different amps and such. Hopefully I will have them finished by this weekend. This is the ugly one that someone cut the whole in it and decided to add their own style of tweeters. I mixed up some epoxy to try and even out the wood piece I used to fill the hole. Need the epoxy to fill in the cracks mostly. I bought the oak veneer and they will have new sides as well as new fabric on the sides.

Welcome @Freaky_fridayto the Carversite. It’s a great place to be and I am sure there are plenty of people that will lead you into any rabbit hole you want to enter. I have gone through the speaker dilemma myself as well as others. There is a topic named that, Speaker dilemma. Enjoy your Receiver and I’ll leave it at that. -

Hello ED. Wanted to let you know that my wife and I found a campground on Fontana Lake about 10 minutes from the resort where we will be staying so we won't be in the cabin with Greg and Jenny.
