Got about 75% of this speaker done. I am liking the outcome so far.

They are the SDA SRS 2 3rd gen. Currently I have the PT1250 hooked to them. I think @BarryGshipped me the tweeters for one and @Daddyjtshipped me the umbilical cord. I joined the Polk forum to learn about the tweeter and crossover upgrades and decided to leave them stock for now. I have enough fabric to do the sides and I think the covers are in pretty good shape. Just need to re-glue some edges.

Its actually getting to be a normal thing these days. but just as long as I get 1600 hours in a year then I get the 1 year of service towards retirement and that's all I care about right now. I will post more pics but right now I will let the epoxy cure over night and get back on it tomorrow afternoon. It is drying up nicely.

Finally with all this extra time on my hands again this summer because of part shortages, yes I am laid off again. I pulled up the Polk's to the garage and giving them a cosmetic restore. Been wanting to do this for a long time but Benn enjoying them with different amps and such. Hopefully I will have them finished by this weekend. This is the ugly one that someone cut the whole in it and decided to add their own style of tweeters. I mixed up some epoxy to try and even out the wood piece I used to fill the hole. Need the epoxy to fill in the cracks mostly. I bought the oak veneer and they will have new sides as well as new fabric on the sides.

I just picked up a new truck with an 8 ft bed so I can mule again. 😂

Welcome @Freaky_fridayto the Carversite. It’s a great place to be and I am sure there are plenty of people that will lead you into any rabbit hole you want to enter. I have gone through the speaker dilemma myself as well as others. There is a topic named that, Speaker dilemma. Enjoy your Receiver and I’ll leave it at that.

Is there a possibility to add a, ( RULES TAB) for first timers to read and so everything is transparent?

Ed, in 2020 when my wife Zili and I attended, were we the newest attendees? In other words, everyone that was there had been there for years before, almost regulars? What I am suggesting in the future as an act of respect is to make the newcomers aware of the rules before they decide on how many days they will book. We were not made aware of the 7 day rule until after we had attended in 2020.

@Jim Walter Have you opened up the bottom and sprayed the 2 switches for the Tape Dubbing and Monitor? Those are the ones with the cables going to the input board. Those 2 switches on the board can cause the output to fizzle and cut out and all kinds of issues because they dont get used. If your display is working fine, I would spray those and work them good. It took me 3 or 4 times before mine worked good.

Welcome to the Carversite Jim. I also have the 150 and love it. After reading that the relays click after turning on the receiver and you replaced them, I just want to make sure that you have the jumpers installed in the back of the receiver. And yes on replacing the filter caps during a tuneup. If you can access the manuals yet, all the procedures and bulletins are in there. Good luck with the project. Rob
