s-l1600.jpg I stole the pic, there is no hole in the cello of the one I have, otherwise, identical.

That hole in the cello is probably a burn hole from a stray seed considering the year. happy0009.gif

Dickey Betts! Damn, almost makes me want to run out and get a 8 track player.............almost

For those who don't know who he is, think Allman Brothers Band. He can play a guitar!

Cellophane from the 70's would be yellowed by now. It's probably BOPP (bi-axially oriented polypropylene).

I have seen Dickey Betts several times once with Allman Brothers, and with Great Southern! One time my brother took me to a Marshall Tucker Band concert, he did not know the opening act was Dickey Betts in a new band after Great Southern. Betts was a better act than the headliner ! I pointed out to my brother that the guy playing the red guitar looked like Dickey Betts, found out later he was the opening act! That was at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md.

Lol, my brother never heard of Dickey Betts, but recognized some of the material from the Allman brothers catalog!

Have not had an 8 track since my quadraphonic stereo days in the 70s!

Might as well stay in the wrapper, it's probably worth more and 8 tracks sound awful at best.  8 track is one format that deserved to die.

Loved the Dickie and Duane dueling guitars on the Allman Brothers albums, I may get this on CD.  You can get it from Amazon for $5.67.

Better than cassettes with a good player.

I didn't think there were any good 8 track players.  All I ever heard were car players with so much cross talk you could listen to 2 tracks at once.  The tapes were a self destruct mechanism too.
