i have built a new theatre system with 1 tfm75 running 2 ea 500lb 21 inch subs in front.  2 ea 500 lb rear subs with 2 ea 15 in drivers each. they are driven with a silver 9t each.  i am running a 5.4 system using an marantz av10 processor.  all speakers are carver mk4 ribbons with the 12 in drivers not hooked up.  there are 2 ribbons at all 4 corners. the rear ribbons have an 9t on each.  the front ribbont are run by a parasound jc5 stereo amp.. the center ch is an horizontal ribbon run by an 9t.   i hand made all 4 sub cabinets my self .  they are built by predrilling, glueing, clamping, screwing every single step.  2 layers of 1 inch mdf and 2x4 frameing and extensive bracing. these cabinets do not resonate.  7 ea 9t amps,, a tfm75, and a jc5 for power.  a song 8k-85 inch tv and sony 4k blueray player.  all interconnects are the best i could find.  my room is 11 feet high by 35x43.  iam not rich.  i do not have a kitchen  or wash machine. i do laundry in town.  my pashion is audio.  thanks for reading. i will send pics from vermont when i get to that level. i have been to the carver get togethers 8n n carolina in the past.  my name is Terry.

Hi Terry, and welcome back. Glad you (re)found us. All those BIG subs, all that power, I'll bet U571 (depth charges) and Saving Private Ryan sound like real war zones. Congrats on all the builds too.

I look forward to seeing your pics!

@ferrari Welcome back!!

Wow that is one hell of a system. Love all those amps.

Until you post pictures, this is what the back of the Marantz AV10 looks like. Its a 15.4-channel processing unit.

Welcome back.  Your system is incredible!  You should sell popcorn outside and have people pay admission to come over and watch movies. :). I'm building AV setup, too....but, nothing like what you have.  I'm excited to see your pictures!

I don't recall any of those screen names, and neither of them show up in the members list.

Is it possible you were a member of the other carver site? There were two, and the other one folded up a few years ago.

Welcome back. If you mean Gary Gore, unfortunately he passed pre-covid19. If I remember correctly it was a tragic motor cycle accident.

@ferrari  In order for your post count to go up you either need to reply to this thread or create a new thread on building your system or responding to other threads.

If you had posted the "three Recent Status Updates" that you created here your post count would be 6 and possibly your reaction count will have increased.

So, posting in the "Recent Status Updates" will not help you advance.

We all want to see pictures of that great system you are building!!

Ditto, "post count" is for "contributing to threads"..., the "Status Update" puts a note on your own member profile..., use that if you are going to be unavailable or "out of the office", or want to announce something in your life..., or ?  Generally, not many use that feature of TCS.  But to be sure, that section is an "update" that you want to share about you - and I'm not sure that it is even searched using the search function (don't quote me on that) - General Audio and other topics found in the Forums are the best way to contribute - and increase post count to advance status.

No wonder you don't drive a Ferarri, all your money is tied up in your Home Audio 😄.

That is a very impressive sounding system, I can hardly wait to see the pictures.

Welcome back!

WOW! What a system! I would rather have your setup than a Ferrari.

Please post some pics!!!

I’m looking forward to seeing that system. It sounds as if you’re living the mantra: If it’s worth doing - it’s worth over-doing.
