Got Married in Aug. 2011 and I said BYE BYE to everything audio including my PRIZED Polk Monitor 10's which where completely refurbished recapped and refoamed.

Saw a craigslist ad for a pair but did not have any funds so offered the seller a TRADE and he gladly accepted

Nice acquisition, Bryan... I've always had a soft spot for the old Polks:-)

The 500t will be a great match for those:-)

Noo, then my OCCD plans are over!

Hehehe, your wife hears you called her "used goods", more than your OCCD plans are over!

RELAPSE!

Glad you are making some headway towards putting your system back together Bryan.
Are you gonna go with your namesake CT-Seven or move up to a Billd-modified C-1?

I got a set of those Polks. Very nice and congrats in advance on building your system back!

I love how my m-500t sounds.

I think it's my best sounding Carver, and it has old caps!!

I'm jealous.

For a pre-amp, look for a C-11. They are reasonably priced, are pretty highly regarded around here, and there are mods for them also.

Im up to my neck with Daddytj so as soon as I am done I will seek a C11 too

The M500(t) is a very crisp clean sound I am very eager to see how the MK-2 stacks up

Took the weekend to make the polks worthy and nice
BEFORE:

The tops had seen better days yet I was very fortunate that the sides where great for the age

Per Daddytj and other members advice I tried the HOWARDS RESTORE A FINISH, maybe I was using it wrong but it seemed not to work, perhaps my scratches where too deep? anyway I decided to cut new tops

NEW TOPS:

Now just need to finish the stands, stalk the postman for my mkII, and see if I can get a standfor the gear going
