  1. Way to go Mark. Congrat's on the milestone
  2. I've run as many as three M-500(t)'s and three M-1.5t's in my multi-amped main system for much of the last 20+ years. The best setup I found for bi-amping was to drive the highs and mids with M-500t's and use an M-1.5t (or 2) for the bass. Thanks Dom and you're absolutely right I mis-typed. The 1.5t's will handle either the mains woofer or my sub (going to try both with and without). The 500t's are the mids & upper end.
  3. Kevin that will be on my to do list. I want to do some serious listening to both set ups once I get each setup dialed in actively.
  4. Thanks gents. @Brett - I'm still learning the tricks of my Behringer 2496's but when it's complete 500t's for the low end and mid, (I have a pair of 4.0t' s that i can swap as well). Then 1.5t's for the highs. At least that's the plan as it stands now.
  5. Set-of-Infinity-kappa-8-tower-home-audio-speakers The original winner of the bid backed out after he heard how much they'd cost to ship safely. So I got the nod. After 110 mile round trip and 6 C-notes ... they now reside at my house.
  6. I figured I'd hit the FCC site to see what the federal government is thinking and interestingly found this topic. Commission Adopts NPRM to Revitalize AM Broadcast Radio Service So while I was thinking they would be looking to cut ties with analog and move more to the digital spectrum they are giving indications that they are looking for ways to improve the oldest analog (AM radio).
  7. Welcome aboard Gary, glad you've found the right place. The 500t is an awesome 'musical' amp. I'm in the process of actively biamping (actually tri) these beauties. Still working out the "bugs" in my new system but the process has been extremely rewarding in addition to challenging. Stick around and once your system is together post some pix.
  8. I'm going to throw weight behind the former rather than the later. But that's not to say the later is not true also.
  9. Welcome aboard Escher, glad to have ya. Oh by the way if you stick around, the OCCD will kick in so no worries, you'll have plenty of Carver gear in no time.
