  1. I changed the link above but zumbini's works, too.
  2. Mike Keneally has released 2 EP's completely free for downloading from his website in either FLAC or MP3 formats. For anyone interested in the post Zappa heir apparent, here's a free shot. http://store.keneally.com/collections/free-downloads/products/free-download-of-mike-keneally-free-ep-volume-1
  3. Got nabbed by a Statey just the other day cruising along to some live Brand X. Guess Ill have to slow down for a while
  4. Heck Charlie! Savannah is only 3.5 hours away. Come on up some time!
  5. Always room for a Hoosier!
  6. Geez Terry, dive in why dontcha? Guy brings out his Carver equipment after 25 years of storage and goes straight for the Mk II and BillD mods. Sounds like a guy I'd like to know. Welcome.
  7. Take a look at what I used here. The beauty of my choice is they were a drop-in replacement for the OEM cylinder fuse holders. They come in a variety of sizes and they're dirt cheap. I'm sure your daughter will appreciate a breaker over fuse replacement.
  8. Pretty good chill-out music, Gene.
  9. So, you are obviously the big dick. The men on the side of ya are your balls. Now there are two types of balls. There are big brave balls, and there are little mincey faggot balls. Now, dicks have drive and clarity of vision, but they are not clever. They smell pussy and they want a piece of the action. And you thought you smelled some good old pussy, and have brought your two little mincey faggot balls along for a good old time. But you've got your parties muddled up. There's no pussy here, just a dose that'll make you wish you were born a woman. Like a prick, you are having second thoughts. You are shrinking, and your two little balls are shrinking with you. And the fact that you've got "Replica" written down the side of your guns, and the fact that I've got "Desert Eagle point five O" written down the side of mine should precipitate your balls into shrinking, along with your presence. Now... F*ck off! Bullet Tooth Tony ~ Snatch
  10. Nicely done, Gene. Any assessment on how the Kappa's sound?
  11. My first (and only) refoam was on a pair of Advent Baby II's. It didn't go well and there's a bit of coil rub. They've never been powered since the refoam, unfortunately. I was so damn careful I don't know what happened. Is there anyone with mad skills who might take on the job for me?
  12. That's my mobile library
  13. http://thecarversite.com/yetanotherforum/featured/weitrhino.htm The first picture of my system (badly out of date) at the link above shows my Amazings with a sharp toe-in, the last pic shows far less. I found the soundstage expanded to a far more believable illusion of performance when toe-in was reduced. At first I assumed that due to the beam-ish nature of the ribbons that a more sharply focused toe-in would be beneficial. My room is a similar size to dcl's and in my case a slight toe-in produces the best soundstage.
  14. You can do it while music is playing. Use the minimum volume needed to hear the localized buzz. Visually inspect the driver for tears before making the adjustments. And above all, turn the screws very slowly and no more than 1/8 of a turn at a time. Did I mention to do this v e r y slowly?
  15. This is outstanding and I would very much like to be 'in.'
  16. Robin Vassy's album Bon Voyage is a real stunner and has the virtue of being something most have never heard. I find this takes away all expectations from the listener and puts everyone on the same sonic footing ~ so to speak. No one can bring the color of their own listening prejudices into the introduction of my system. Check out some samples, particularly La Reprise at this link.
  17. Hibernator, You might find this thread useful in learning about fuses and protection. If breakers are more to you liking you may find what you need here.
  18. TNRabbit is dead on it. DON'T get too happy with those screws. When he says 1/8 of a turn he means it !!! Go slow!
  19. You're sunk, dude, so you might as well go all in. The M1.0t and the M500t are the big two MkII models, not that there's anything wrong with the others. For the TFM line, they don't become true mag field amps till you get up to the TFM-45. The 35, 25, and 15 are standard power amp designs. And then there are tubes.......
  20. Those AL-III's were up on eBay more than once but didn't sell. Not sure if the price has changed or if there was something really amiss with them.
