Welcome aboard and looking forward to some pictures. -
"An Inspector Calls" free on Amazon Prime: non action but good for the brain when you are in the right frame of mind to watch and a good movie imho.

I just watched Mile 22 on Netflix last night and enjoyed it... check it out. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Iko Uwais, John Malkovich, Lauren Cohan (she's really easy on the eyes) and Ronda Rousey.

@engtaz Come on, you know you secretly want to be a Bose fan. 🙂 I do recall my 901's sounding really nice in my concrete military dorm room back in 1990. 30 years later and bouncing off drywall, they sound a little softer but I don't crank them up like I used to either...I really enjoyed the sound of Polk speakers in those days too. -
1987 Carver system in use today !!!
Walrus Gumboot replied to Patstachio's topic in The Welcome Shop (Please read first)
@Patstachio I am still using all my carver gear which I purchased between 1988 - 1992 while in the serving in the Navy. Those were the good old days, plenty of disposible income to buy music equipment and cd's. -

After further review, I found it. The front cover says: Sonic Holography Demonstration - Calibration Test Disc Instructions for using the Carver CD - 4000 Sonic Holography Test Compact Disc

I remember listening to this cd back in the late 1980's. I think I eventually threw it away 😗

What are some preferred speakers with Carver M4.0T amp
Walrus Gumboot replied to Walrus Gumboot's topic in Loudspeakers
No WAF role as I have a dedicated "media" room in my home which measures 14' x 16' (tv, stereo, work desk, couch, treadmill, inversion table). As for my musical taste, I am all over the map from 80's - 90's hard rock to 90's country, southern rock, blues rock. I really enjoy music which integrates horns, strings etc with guitars and harmonies...think ELO, Beatles. As for budget, I could only afford whatever the Bose 901's would sell\trade for. -
What are some preferred speakers with Carver M4.0T amp
Walrus Gumboot posted a topic in Loudspeakers
What speakers have you heard which pair well with a Carver CT 7 and a Carver M4.0T amp? I currently own the Bose 901 series vi's since 1991 and they sound fine but I am curious what brands and specific models the site members like\prefer which fall within a similar price range as the 901's ($1, 000.00)?
