Community Admin AndrewJohn 9,170 Posted October 29 Community Admin Posted October 29 Big fan of Chris Isaak..., and this meets the bar.
Receiver2000 3,081 Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Just checked, she exceeds the bar. Saw him do a Christmas concert early last December. He was really funny. 1
Community Admin AndrewJohn 9,170 Posted October 30 Community Admin Posted October 30 I miss the Cranberries unique sound. This cover is a good reminder of a great band that ended too soon, and tragic loss of Delores O'Riordan. This tribute cover is almost hauntingly mourning.
Community Admin AndrewJohn 9,170 Posted October 31 Community Admin Posted October 31 A little Thursday Morning Halloween wake-me-up..., from the same cover band. 2

Franzk 34 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Thanks for the link to an old reworked song by The Who of course. Piqued my interest in checking out the TajMo album. Nice unplugged. 2

BobTFM35 2,251 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 @Franzk the TajMo album is available here and you also get a digital download code. I ordered this today so I'm hoping that they don't forget to send me the download code. https://store.acousticsounds.com/d/123381/Taj_Mahal_and_Keb_Mo-Tajmo-Vinyl_Record 2

BobTFM35 2,251 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 @Sk1Bum @Receiver2000 And I could not stop at TajMo, I added Sonny Rollins/ Way Out West, Dexter Gordon/ Daddy Plays The Horn 180g, and Wayne Shorter/ Adam's Apple 180g. I did not want the album to travel alone. As they say, Safety in numbers! 1 1

BobTFM35 2,251 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 @Sk1Bum Love that video!! Funny you should load that video. I was just at Cabela's Hamburg PA store looking at Shotguns and hand guns for, lets say, "Home Vinyl Defense Weapon". Had some beautiful stuff.

I bought a package that included hard case, 4 10 round magazines, the handle and muzzle pictured below. I didn't come with the 5 round mag shown. DaddyJT sent me a 20 round drum mag, too. It looks fierce, but getting it to feed properly took a few hundred rounds before break in. Not cheap. I also got an aftermarket gas chamber plug that helped tremendously. The plug came from Iron Curtain Customs Hmmm, this has little to do with cover songs, if you want to continue this discussion, we should head over, and possibly move this to The Gun Rack. 1
Daddyjt 8,807 Posted November 14 Posted November 14 I was surfing the web the other night and had this pop up. Never was much of a fan of the original, but this gal’s voice just blew me away. Incredible rendition… 3
Dennis47 898 Posted November 19 Posted November 19 CCR "I heard It Through The Grapevine" (extended version) 1
Receiver2000 3,081 Posted November 19 Posted November 19 Just saw John Foggerty this summer with his two sons joining him onstage. He sounded great and his sons are really accomplished guitar players. Before he played, his son's band played, kind of a psycho rock sound. 1
