garyh 459 Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 Another favorite. This version doesn't have the cool intro from the album - "... if you're late again, the supervisor said we're going to put you on daily sign-in." Love this cover...

Community Admin AndrewJohn 9,551 Posted September 12, 2021 Community Admin Posted September 12, 2021 (edited) Like her or not..., Miley Cyrus has incredible vocal range, and talent across multiple genre's. This cover is as haunting as the original..., From the Howard Stern show, cover starts at about 2:20 if you are impatient... Here's a live version..., Miley with her band. It shows the vocals starting an octave higher, in contrast with the video above on Howard Stern..., "her vocal range..." just scary good. Edited September 12, 2021 by AndrewJohn 2
Community Admin AndrewJohn 9,551 Posted September 14, 2021 Community Admin Posted September 14, 2021 If you are about my age..., (guess)..., and you went to a lot of bars in your early 20's, and saw a lot of bands try to do Stones and Zeppelin..., you heard a lot of bad, maybe really bad, covers... Compare that memory, to Miley and her band doing Black Dog... Huge difference... much better..., (plus a production and show, around it). 1
Community Admin AndrewJohn 9,551 Posted September 28, 2021 Community Admin Posted September 28, 2021 OK, Metalica "Nothing Else Matters" covers continue to come..., this song has meaning for many..., (certainly me). Here's Chris Stapleton's cover.
dcl 3,254 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 From Retrospect, the third live album by the Dutch symphonic metal band Epica in celebration of their tenth anniversary in 2013. Inquiring minds want to know more about Epica, about Stabat Mater Dolorosa... 🤘👏 2
dcl 3,254 Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 The Dusty Springfield recording has been my touchstone, this version sidles right up in a jazz vein. 3
