Ready to burn the old ones! :D

I'm guessing I mount these to the bottom of the cabinet. Should I mount them directly flush to the bottom, should I use standoffs, or does it matter?

I would put rubber grommets in between. If I find any I'll send them along. Shipping day is tomorrow.

Recent experience tells us that can be like a kidney stone.

I’m curious if the new speakers had the gaskets, mine did, but they were very thin,I still used the armacell trimmed to fit!

There were no gaskets when I got them, but there might have been originally.

They did pop and fizzle a bit, but it was well after dark. 9-10 PM or thereabouts.

Well, I finally got Rod's custom crossovers installed, and I am well pleased. He did a great job. These speakers will probably bump my 40+ year old ESS's out of my bedroom. The ESS's will end up in a garage system, either here or at my grandson's.

Now to tackle the Platinum's... :D

I saw some Oak Platinum bodies on ebay for $300, but they're in a Los Angeles suburb, pickup only. While I wouldn't mind another trip to the coast, it might be a challenge to haul them back on my bike. :D

Oh, lest I forget. A huge public merci beaucoup to Rod. You're the dude, man!

No, I do not.

There are some very nice looking solid oak stands on ebay for $100. I may pick them up at some time in the future unless something else comes along.
