    While I don't personally have any experience with either of these......I don't think it's a very fair comparison. These two shouldn't even be considered in the same ballpark, let alone the same SPORT LOL!!! While I know the SVS subs have an excellent following and many people swear by them, I think the JL subs are just in a completely different class. Maybe somebody else with personal experience can tell me if I'm just blowing smoke or not LOL!!!

    I used to have 2 a single JL 10w7 in a custom slot-ported down-firing box that I built myself in a 1st gen (1987) Honda CRX, and that thing POUNDED LOL!!! The woofers they use in their home audio subs look VERY similar (if not the same) as their car audio W7's......those things have some INCREDIBLE innovations in woofer technology.

    I've only had the chance to run my Def Tech BP30's with Marks MKII he loaned me, but they sounded PHENOMENAL!!!! There really wasn't a frequency range that I felt was lacking in any way.......super dynamic for both music and movies throughout the BP30's audible range (18Hz - 30kHz according to Def Tech)

    I actually just saw a local craigslist ad about 1hr South of me in New Mexico.......a pair of Klipsch RF-3's and some Kenwood subwoofer for only $40!!! I've got an email out to the guy, guess I'll see what he says......fingers crossed tho!

    Well that's been my hope for some time now Gene. I've been keeping an eye on comic prices for a while and they seem to be much like guns in regards to their value.......they steadily keep climbing !!! I've been meaning to go back thru my comics and start selling off some of the randoms and duplicates I have so I can chip away at my Everest of debt, but I need to set aside a solid 2-3 days that I can go thru them all.......sorting thru 20+ short boxes FULL of comics can eat up some time !!!

    Linking to trailers for *those* would certainly increase traffic to the site... To keep things topical, how many superheroes/villains use sound or hearing as a power? Daredevil comes to mind. Banshee from the X-men comes to mind.....Superman obviously has enhanced hearing/sight/pretty much everything else.

    I agree.....I'm a HUGE comic nut and have really loved most of the 'superhero' movies that they've been re-making since the early 2000's. Still really enjoy the originals too......Superman, Batman, etc. If I showed you guys a picture of my comic collection you'd probably realize why I'm in so much debt LOL!!!!

    This thread is CRAZY!!!! I should make my wife take a look at all of your guys' HOARDS of speakers.......then maybe my paltry 16 speakers (TOTAL, not PAIRS LOL!) wouldn't seem so outrageous to her!!! 1 pair Def Tech BP30 Def Tech CLR2000 2 pairs Def Tech BPX 1 pair Realistic Minimus 7's.....in plum crazy PURPLE thanks to Kevin 1 set (5 total speakers) of Advent AV5's Sunfire Signature 12" Sunfire Super Jr.
