  1. Sometimes Microsoft Edge on W10 causes issues. Do you have another browser - Chrome or FireFox? You can also find Internet Explorer via Cortana. Javascript renders some of the dialog, so check that JS is enabled.
  2. Can you check THIS post (by Zumbini) for the steps to post pictures?
  3. It is good to see vintage gear alive and well. Also, welcome to CarverSite, ABilluminazione. We want audio picture porn!
  4. LOL... not pissed off at all. Hopefully the implied sarcasm came through in the post hehehe.... Nothing but love for my Carver bros. No worries. I was just pulling your leg. (every time I look at the Salamander, I think of Ender's Shadow and you, and, it is at least once a day, if not more often).
  5. Does this help? (from CF2016).
  6. I can open one of my EQ10s, if that is the specific sub in question. Bill Flannery may be another good resource to ask a question. He is usually prompt and responsive.
  7. Welcome to CS, Vin! The 490t can directly be hooked using it's variable out and sent to the TFM25. You will need to use the process of elimination to find the issue.
  8. Can the page author decide between Ravem and Raven, please?
  9. The Techs and DIY'ers on CS are much better than shops. I had much rather trust vintage gear to folks on CS than in a shop. This is not intended to disparage any shops that repair vintage gear. Both have different goals, one has 'love' written all over it, while others may have some financial overtones. Vintage gear does take some BST, but the nostalgia has it's own value for an aging population segment that wants to capture their halcyon days. My sons do not give a shit about the behemoths I have in my basement at 80+ lbs. They are happy with a iPhone6/7. I enjoy the iPhone in the car rather than drive my racks in the back of my car.
  10. I have to second PDR's 'frickin' gorgeous'. They look brand new. Very nice work.
  11. Chis Rea - Road To Hell, Bela Fleck - Flight of the Cosmic Hippo, Supertramp - Brother Where you bound, Dire Straits - Across the River are favorites of mine. The overall collection is fantastic. Gorecki just makes me cry a lot, so I stay away from it. Thanks, DaddyJT.
  12. Donald Fagen - The Night Fly (might as well be Steely Dan). Also, Honor Roll of CDs has some interesting CDs and explanations/details. The Loudness Wars are also documented (Thanks, Martin1970).
  13. This one seemed to do very well in terms of a layout, modularity and component replacement.
  14. The Sunfires have patented tracking downconverters, which seem to handle such speakers very well. If you can find a Sunfire 300x2 or 600x2 (a bit rare), it would be a good comparison. The 42s should handle the Vandys well, though (unless you want to have a block party ). Carver Pro series are also a good bet.
  15. I think he did. See this WRF post on your thread.
  16. Welcome! (back).
  17. Welcome to the Carver Loony Bin, where the show must go on! WRF, DennisMiller55, Nahash5150, Morris, Balok and many other able techs/DIYers abound, who can help.
  18. One factor in your decision making is the listening environment. After you are infatuated and have built a short list of the speakers (and women) you want. Take them home, and listen to them in your specific environment. To me, such a test is necessary, since you will be listening to them/sleeping with them for a long time! I suggest adding Dire Straits Brothers in Arms (1985) to what B-man has already suggested.
