  1. T-Square - I'd give them a good listen after hearing that track and this one,
  2. Found my other three Rippingtons albums along with other jazz albums stuffed in a shipping box in a closet. So, 4(or 5) to go. Curves Ahead Weekend in Monaco Live in L.A. Sahara
  3. Wanted to post this b4 I forgot. Saved this album to play for the first time when I got a new TT, MC cartridge, SUT, Phono tube preamp and a Carver Crimson 275. That happened today. I just wish the Rippingtons made more vinyl albums as this sounded fantastic!!
  4. Playing catch-up if it's possible!?
  5. Hello Rob and welcome to the Carver site!!! The belt size can be found in the file you can download here. approx 0.046" square x 2.4" https://www.turntableneedles.com/Square-Belt-Small-24-Inch_p_218.html I purchased my 390t belt from this vendor. It took the better part of 4 weeks for it to arrive via first class mail from coast to coast. Might want to possibly search out other vendors. This video might be interesting to watch b4 you jump into the guts of the 490 After replacing the belt and getting the 490 working you might want to look into "rolling in" different tubes. What tubes are in it now? And don't forget to play with the Soft EQ (Digital Time Lens) button. You can read about it in the user manual on pages 30 and 31.
  6. Welcome to the Carver site!!
  7. First Welcome to the Carver site!! The last 75 I looked at went for $2000.00 The restoration of a 75 will cost $1200.00, and I can only assume it will be the same for the 2400. I don't know if this is a good representation of the trade, but this is how I visualize this swap. What you have, What will be traded to you plus some cash, In the end its whatever makes you happy.
  8. I load the 390 with 5 Ripps then sit back and enjoy!!
  9. Welcome to the Carver site!!
  10. Thought I'd swing to some James Carter!!
  11. I'll let it speak for itself.

  15. @Sk1Bum Yep!!! Having a 390 I'm able to play 5 Ripps in a row. I was just in my local record store and what did my wandering eyes see? A sealed copy of Live in LA. Three Bucks!! I don't know if that's the going rate but I have it now.
  16. Doing some analog audio system modifications, and what better music to play, the Rippingtons!!
  17. Welcome @Gregor1234 to the Carver site!! For the first two items on your list I would use Nelion Audio General overall list https://nelionaudio.com/index.php?/services.html/ For the C-1 https://nelionaudio.com/index.php?/services.html/carver/carverpreamps/carver-c-1c-11-restore-and-bill-d-upgrades-r5/ For the 1.0 amps https://nelionaudio.com/index.php?/services.html/carver/carver-amplifiers/carver-m-10t-mkii-opt002-restore-and-upgrade-r3/ After reading about what he can do with the C-1 and amps you will know that you have the correct person for your equipment. For the other two items I'm sure others will have suggestions. When you contact Greg @Nahash5150 ask about the tuner and speakers. Again Welcome!!
  18. @Conrad R R Welcome to the Carver Site!! Here is the Schematic that is missing from the sites copy. This copy has a little bit of an overlap and that's the way that I found it. Carver tl-3300 SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM.pdf @wrf The pdf numbering doesn't account for when two pages were scanned at the same time and that happened several times.

  24. I agree with you on the remotes and there is no guarantee that all the functions will work. The next possible shocker is rack handles.
