  1. @ferrari In order for your post count to go up you either need to reply to this thread or create a new thread on building your system or responding to other threads. If you had posted the "three Recent Status Updates" that you created here your post count would be 6 and possibly your reaction count will have increased. So, posting in the "Recent Status Updates" will not help you advance. We all want to see pictures of that great system you are building!!
  2. @ferrari Welcome back!! Wow that is one hell of a system. Love all those amps. Until you post pictures, this is what the back of the Marantz AV10 looks like. Its a 15.4-channel processing unit. Can't wait to see the pictures!!
  3. Very sweet sound, love it!! They left out his idol and inspiration,“Dexter (Gordon) is still my guy. I was around 18 years-old when I went to a club called Concerts By The Sea in Los Angeles. It was truly a life changing moment for me,” shares Richard Elliot. “This big man came out on stage with this low voice and this huge tenor sound. I had already been playing for a few years but when I heard him, I thought to myself ‘I’m doomed. I will never ever come up with a sound anywhere near this guy.’ It really was life changing to hear him play.” Inspired by Dexter and the likes of other tenor legends like Johnny Griffin, Gene Ammons, Coleman Hawkins, Grover Washington Jr. and Michael Brecker,.......
  4. Welcome to the Carver Site!!
  5. @Lynn68 @Nahash5150 Furman has a few Advanced Voltage Regulators / Power Conditioners. One is the 15A Prestige Voltage Regulator, 120V (P-1800 AR) https://furmanpower.com/products/p-1800-ar Another is 20A Prestige Voltage Regulator / Power Conditioner (P-2400 AR) https://furmanpower.com/products/p-2400-ar And Merit Series 15 Amp Voltage Regulator (M-8X AR) https://furmanpower.com/products/m-8x-ar https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/M8XAR--furman-m-8x-ar I purchased, Conditioner Power HT 15A Power Factor (ELITE-15 PF I) https://furmanpower.com/products/elite-15-pf-i It does not have voltage regulation. According to most of the specs for the above three units the "Regulation capture range: 97 VAC to 141 VAC, Output Voltage: 120 VAC ±5V" I might opt to revisit these units in the future because I wish to upgrade another system.
  6. @Parmaniac Welcome to the Carver Site!! And Happy Holidays to you!

  12. Went to my local Record store and scored this album. It was from an estate purchase of a gentleman's jazz collection. Was blown away to see first pressings in such good condition. Got this one for $10.95 the balance of the collection was $60 and above. Can only find one song from the album,
  13. @Northerner Welcome to the Carver site!! Two very nice systems. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your gear. Welcome!!
  14. I think everyone here that owns a piece of Sunfire gear would like the schematics. If you do pull the amp think about the following. Since you are on the West Coast you have an EXCELLENT Carver service center just above you in the state of Washington. This makes your shipping bill less than what it would cost me to send my two amps from the East Coast. I have done it and would not hesitate to do it again. One of the good things, and you would have to get varification from him, is the warranty. He provides One(1) year not the typical shops 90 days. I would reach out to; https://carveraudiorepair.com/index.html The second place to contact would be here and ask questions. Greg services a wide variety of audio amplifiers as you will see in this link. He is hands down the best. https://nelionaudio.com/index.php?/services.html/repairs/general-amplifier-preamp-receiver-repair-r24/ Look at this page and pick any amp and scan down to where he tells you what the warranty is. https://nelionaudio.com/index.php?/services.html/carver/carver-amplifiers/ Three (3) years, that's how confident he is. And good. My son and I have had many Carver, Sunfire, and Phase Linear pieces done by both. Wish you well!
  15. Welcome to the Carver Site!! Congratulations on your fixes and its a great start on the TFM line of amps.
  16. I did exactly what @xavionics suggested. Went to several stores and listened to what they had. The last place I visited also had some used speakers they were selling. They were able to hook them up after I listened to a few new speakers. That was the last store I went to for a set of main speakers, I purchased them. The nice thing about this was that I was able to purchase other surround speakers in the same family after that. My search for the rest of the speakers for my home theater ended that day. I still have them, Paradigm 9se MkIII. They are driven by two Carver TFM35s in horizontal bi-amp mode. They have a twin 8" bass/midrange driver configuration delivering a good base and high power handling. Visit some stores as you never know what might happen when you open that door and enter. Enjoy the journey!!
  17. LOOK OUT!!! "Curves Ahead"
  18. The Rippingtons are now taking me on a "Weekend in Monaco" trip!!

  20. I went back and played it again. It almost sounded like a sitar was being used in portions, but was not listed in the credits.
