It's probably been 30 years since I heard this one.  Forgot how good it was.  The production is very good though the recording methods make it sound a little dated. Still, a fine album.  I'm newly struck how Brian Johnson of AC/DC mimics Dan McCafferty of Nazareth.

Decided to give SPYRO GYRA a deep cleaning so dropped the needle on this guy.

Supposedly 11.99 at the record store mispriced at 1.99 and they came thru.

This is a three CD collection, today is disc two. Disc one, The Colours of Chloe, lives up to its profile: " "Eberhard Weber's first record remains his most well-known and influential. An ambitious work of what might be called symphonic jazz, The Colours of Chloë helped to define the ECM sound -- picturesque, romantic, at times rhythmically involved, at others minimalistic and harmonically abstruse... " The cats & I settled into the afternoon sun filtering through the windows  (always a favorable sign) to be absorbed by the music. Today's disc, Yellow Fields, is livelier, reminiscent of early Weather Report & Oregon, and foreshadowing of European classic/jazz. such as E.S.T or Nik Bartsch's Ronin.
