Daddyjt 9,612 Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 (edited) Walking through FYE the other day, I came across the AC/DC River Plate concert DVD for $5. Needless to say, I bought it - my son and I watched it last night in the theater room, with the volume at 11 o’clock (Not really, but it was at live listening levels!). We intended to surf through it, but we ended up watching the whole damn thing, and even the behind the scenes featurette. What a show! Damn those guys can flat-out ROCK... Got me thinking though - I don’t think I can name a single ballad by the group (in the traditional vein of metal/rock ballads anyway). Anyone else think of one...? Packratt 395 Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 Dont think they ever saw a need to do a balad. They are high energy from start to finish. What the hell would Angus do during a balad? He would probably explode. 2
cuda 523 Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 The closest song that comes to mind is "Ride On" with Bon Scott 1

Wilkic65 389 Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 AC/DC does have a great song profile with Back In Black, Thunderstruck, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap just to name a few but recently I have been trying to listen to their new album Power Up that came out this year
B-Man 4,780 Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 This is the closest thing to an AC/DC ballad I can think of: Let me put my love into you babe, Let me cut your cake with my knife. Classic. 1
weitrhino 1,443 Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 The closest to a ballad they ever came was Night Prowler, the closing track on Highway to Hell 1
