Well, took me a few minutes to find the "New Topic" tab,  so for starters,  i'm not super high Tech so go easy if you can!

Just checking in as a Newbie should, and was guided (pushed, shoved) by Gene C. who i bombarded with a few questions about my first ever issue with my Carver TFM-55x.   I guess the quick audio resume goes something like;  the 55x,  CT-27V, two TFM-15s. Pioneer Elite CD/Tape and Paradigm speakers, center, etc.

Just a music enthusiast that ended up with more of a movie/music set-up.  Music collection n knowledge is far more superior than the audio portion.    I started searching for assistance on the computer and saw this website, read a few things, and thought, well, there can't be a better location for Carver info, help and/or humor.

So, let the bashing begin, which i welcome.   N THX Gene for getting me out of 1st gear.

Welcome SDMF, if that is your real name..
Let me be the first to ask you to post some pics of your gear.  This will save everybody else from having to type that, although they will anyway.

aaahhhh, shooooot !   was hoping the post pics thing wouldn't pop up so fast !  i did see that on someone else's intial post.   don't have pics of my semi-JV set-up,  and would take me a little bit to do all that, then figure out how to attach them here, which i'm sure isn't too hard.   Also, i moved my entire system from one room to another, and THAT is when i experience slight "pop" sound, from the 55x, when i attempted to turn it on for the first time.  So after months of doing nothing about it, i boxed the whole sha-bang up in original boxes, etc.    So, hope that kind of answers the pic topic for now.

Welcome to the forum SDMF glad you decided to join in on the fun.
Don't worry about not being a techie, there are many, many others myself included that aren't.
We enjoy coming here to share our love of the audio hobby.
What types of music and bands/artists do you like to listen to?

Blues Pwr - THX.   and where would i start with THAT topic !  wheww.  But to keep in line with your screen name, i'll say I watched the Kennedy Center Honors (to see Led Zep) the other night and watched Beth HART make Buddy Guy tear up !   (seen her a few times Live, long ago)  shez unreal and way underappreciated.  Seen and really like, Kenny Wayne Shepherd,  SRV, of course!,  Arc Angels,  Joe Bonamassa!!!  Black Country Communion......on and on and on........and to take it way back, Montrose - Led Zepp - Bad Co - Trower - Aerosmith - and a whole lot of METAL, Blues and Hard Rock in between.

Welcome to the Carver Site !!

Be warned - if you choose to stick around you will be subjected to one of the most powerful wallet draining phenomena known - O.C.C.D.

To further complicate the issue, LOTS of folks on this site are O.C.C.D. enablers...

By the way - You gonna post up some pics of your gear ??

That's a lot of cool "welcomes".   Thanks.   I never lurked here before either,  so all new to me.  As far as pics of my gear.....as stated - it's all in original boxes at the moment.   Didn't think a few Carver Amps, Paradigm speakers, etc. in boxes would warrant a pic.   But hey, whatever the rules and regs are here,  i'll do my best.   Old gear in the......70s n 80s! .........Kenwood Model 11 and Bose 901s, and 501s, TEAC reel, u know the deal.  Damn i miss that old Kenwood.

Thanks again for the shout outs.   Ya'all appear to be a good bunch of Audiophiles and music enthusiasts.
