SACD vs DVDA vs FLAC pt #1 - The Nightfly, Donald Fagen.
NickT replied to Daddyjt's topic in Physical digital
I will assume that Nightfly is now like a sunburn.. it's going to take some time before you will want to venture out and listen to this album again... I certainly enjoyed your write up. I also have a few title that are duplicated across Vinyl, CD and DVDA.. not sure I really want to go through that effort though -

I enjoyed this, but I also noticed the Orions are not represented. (Probably because the pheromones they exude would make the male judges ignore all other contestants.) -

Looks like it's the exact same mastering by Bod Ludwig used on both, sacd is just a conversion of the pcm files to dsd? -
Inherited Carver Stack Troubles
Eyexlr8 replied to ProAlpine's topic in The Welcome Shop (Please read first)
That is a problem for many sealed pots. Simply no way to get to the tracks to clean them. This PSE studio 1 had 3 expensive noble cast aluminum pots ,2 in the tone control circuit plus volume The balance control had a open area on the side for access but in most cases you have to unsolder many pots and take them apart and open them up to do it properly -
