  1. Welcome Matthew! With a little patience and help from the good folk here you'll have that receiver singing.
  2. "Time To Nut Up or Shut Up!" ~Zombieland
  3. "We'll know for the first time if we're evil or divine. We're the last in line." ~Ronnie James Dio
  4. Welcome to the forum Carlos! I don't own an M1.0t but do own an M500t with the MKII modification. Absolutely LOVE IT! As stated above, well worth the $$$.
  5. I totally agree. I would only use it in my home at low volumes for background music, if at all. In my car it bothers me a little but I can deal with it due to the fact that the stalk stereo is not exactly what I would call resolving.
  6. I'm either home with my wife, mother-in-law, or both. Very rarely get the opportunity to turn it up. Pretty sad actually.
  7. Welcome to the fun! Three LED's on my M1.5t is more than enough to get my wife pissed.
  8. That was one of three of my first albums I purchased from KMart when I was 10 years old. I believe I still have it. That said, I was really floored when i heard this version a few years ago and I still love it.
  9. Nothing like a little Priest to start the weekend. "Victim of Changes" anyone?
  10. Saw it with my wife last weekend. We both loved it as well. It was thoughtfully written and portrayed. If you haven't seen it yet, it's a must see for any Queen fan.
  11. Welcome back RTM! Nice list of gear. I'm also a Pioneer Elite and Carver fan. I love my Carver gear but can't seem to part with the Pioneer Reference (pre Elite) stuff. I hold both brands in high regard. Looking forward to pucs of your gear.
  12. I would take a mono signal, like a 1KHz tone and inject that tone into both the left and right Processor Inputs and measure the output levels at Main 1 Out. You really need to verify just how much of a difference there actually is between the two channels.
  13. Of course that doesn't eliminate the Balance control but at least all the input selectors up to that point will be eliminated.
  14. Now that I can access the sight again, have you tried the Processor input. That is as close as you get to the volume control without actually injection a signal directly into the volume control itself. That will eliminate the input selector and Tape Monitor switches.
  15. You may have tried this already but is the audio low on one side regardless of the input you choose?
  16. I don't know what you have for test equipment but a simple program such as the free version of truerta https://www.trueaudio.com/rta_abt1.htm is simple to use with your computer sound card and will tell you if the left/right outputs are the same even if you don't go through the calibration process. If you don't calibrate the levels of truerta it will still show you the difference between channels even if the measurements are not actual levels.
  17. drsickstrings, Are you making anymore progress?
  18. Welcome aboard Hammond. If there are two things you won't find here that's a lack of love for all things audio or a lack of technical support.
  19. I also cut my teeth on "Sufing With The Alien" and have at least 8 Joe Satriani cd's in my collection. The guy is amazing to say the least. "Not Of This Earth" is amazing as well. "Hordes of Locusts" is one of my favorites from that album.
  20. HOLY!! SWEET SETUP!!
  21. Welcome aboard!
  22. Welcome soufle. You came to the right place to talk Carver and learn Carver.
