  1. Are you moving it inside your truck Mark ? If so, set it on the floor, with the rear panel facing the front seat back. If you hit the brakes hard the rear panel is what might touch the seat back. Put a piece of dense foam between the rear panel and the seat back. Otherwise it will just sit there and nothing need touch it. Blankets and such attract sand, dirt, etc. and make it difficult to handle a heavy item. If you do get any scratches, Meguiar's Ultimate Polish will take care of them easily. https://www.meguiars.com/automotive/products/meguiars-ultimate-polish-g19216-16-oz-liquid Congrats on the score - that is an awesome sub !!!
  2. NOS = New Old Stock. Telefunkens = great tubes. Kevin is your man...
  3. Welcome !! Glad you found us. You will find all kinds of great information and people here. There are no dumb questions - ask anything and it is likely someone here will have an answer for you. Look around - there's a wealth of information on many subjects and it is free for the reading. If you think you might want to "upgrade" or add to your system while hanging out here, I have a suggestion for you - take out your wallet. Look it over very carefully. Admire how well it conforms to your pocket after having had it for so long. Now look at it very seriously and say "Good bye"... These folks will cost you some $$$. ?
  4. Thanks Mr. Krow. Your commentary is appreciated and timely. I hope it is apparent to all of the membership that ALL of the folks who help to keep this asylum on-line really do appreciate the members and the wealth of camaraderie that comes with a forum and events like CarverFest. It is easy to get caught up in day-to-day life - things happen and forums certainly aren't the most important thing in your life. That means if one wants to be a productive, respectful, participating member it takes effort - and we all recognize that. It is important that we all try to make the most of this awesome opportunity to learn about and enjoy the magic of music reproduction with electronics - Bob Carver style. ? If I were to sum up what we all need to remember and promote all the time, it would be respect. To get it you have to give it freely - without expecting it in return. My rant is done - I have amps to build !!! ?
