  1. This is an older thread, but the content is directly related to your discussion. I made the section of interest below bold and underlined. You might want to PM schultdw and ask his opinion. He is one of the sharpest engineering types on this forum...
  2. As much as I hate to admit it, I use iTunes to rip CD's. With that said, I will qualify: A. I have the quality set to the highest possible setting; B. I have the default ripping format set to MP3; C. I don't allow it to download the album art automatically. It is rare indeed that iTunes returns an "Album not found" message when it accesses the Gracenote DB. I would take a few of the discs WMP couldn't find info for and try it with iTunes and see what happens. FWIW, I have just shy of 1,000 CDs and iTunes correctly identified about 97% of them on the first try. iTunes is a free download too. I am not a fan of the interface but it is the free, easy way to put my music on my iPod.

"The one thing our Founding Fathers could not foresee -- they were farmers, professional men, businessmen giving of their time and effort to an idea that became a country -- was a nation governed by professional politicians who had an interest in getting re-elected. They probably envisioned a fellow serving a couple of hitches and then eagerly looking forward to getting back to the farm." --Ronald Reagan
  5. I too am very interested in seeing this thing in action. A question for you Mike - are your albums so dirty that you need a washer like this ? Just curious - I never cleaned mine with anything other than an old Discwasher set-up. Not criticizing, just trying to understand !!
