Food For Thought 1995 `~~~~ myself
I once knew a man who knew all that was to be said.
He had all the worldly knowledge mesmerized in his head.
But no one was interested nor would partake in his verbal bread.
So when the tides of life turned, they rushed to his bed,
but it was to late to reap the fruits of wisdom, for the old man was dead.
Most all have heard the proverbial epic of “the wise old owl”
yet our tongues kept on spouting, as if in a mindless prowl.
Tis why life is so difficult for our young ones to learn
And so it goes, we make the same mistakes, when it comes our turn.
