Daddyjt 8,647
This is one of my FAVORITE pieces of music. It's only about two minutes long, and comes from the Soundtrack to Get The Gringo. It's by Antonio Pinto, and I can't locate anything else by him.I'm curious if any of you can recommend similar sounding music...?Thanks for any help! <audio controls Your browser does not support this audio format.
RussellHammond 96
There is a piece that is on the sound track to Collateral called Requiem, from the Host Soul Outside, Love in the time cholera, seems like he does a lot of sound track pieces.

Community Admin AndrewJohn 8,197 Posted July 7, 2014 Community Admin Share Posted July 7, 2014 Wikipedia has his long-list of filmography. Link HERE. He's also on the IMDB site. There's a good list. But I only see soundtracks. I wonder if someone has compiled them somewhere?
Daddyjt 8,647
Thanks, guys! I wasn't necessarily looking for music BY him, but the overall tone and sound of that particular piece. It travels from peaceful, to upbeat, to solemn -- at least to me. very complex, with great transients and instrument separation... As I said, one of my favorites:-)

fill35U 1,845
I don't know if it's your cup of tea, but when I listened to what others had posted here, I was reminded of Manowar's "Thunderpick/Guyana". Joey DeMaio utterly thrashed the Spanish/South American riffs on a *bass* guitar:
