Having owned the SDA-SRS 2 of the Polk Audio and having always had Polk Audio paired with my Carver gear (minus that 1 time that I tried Klipsh)

I always do my usual OfferUp searches to see what’s up. And this happens to appear

I am a responsible adult but I also do have a couple of dollars to spend... and I have a vehicle big enough to fit them safely now I have to try and convince the wife.

I have been down this road before. Look below.

I MUST BE STRONG AND NOT COMMIT!!!!

When selling the wife on such endeavors, I’ve found it useful to propose selling the old speakers, to offset the cost of the new. If you never get around to selling the old, well....:-)

It's just going to cost you a whole bunch of flowers or jewelry!! Lol

Or trade in the wife for a new set of speakers! Lol

i have 3 sets of polks, My Sda-1b’s are my main speakers.  I’ll probably sell my Monitor 10as and monitor 5jr+ speakers.  The latter sound real good with the Carverfest 275, at night when I don’t want yo upset the neighbors!

Use the cabinets as gift boxes for a ring, necklace and earrings.

Oh gosh..., hurry...,

Biggest regret I had was a line on a TFM-75 for under $500, only 20 minutes away...,

Spent too much time convincing..., and well..., someone else got them.

I have Polk SDA 1C's that I didn't hesitate on, got there, and there was another car in the driveway..., seller had integrity..., even though the other guy in the driveway offered a shitload more cash for them, the seller kept his commitment to me..., that doesn't happen very often..., but the story is that the longer they are listed, the longer someone else will get in your way..., before your decision is approved.

Just helping to put perspective in play as you look at timing and logic, ... applied to OCCD and Polk acquisition.  😉

I’d sell my SDA-1bs for $500, of course I did a lot of mods listed on the Polk forum, sonicaps in the tweeter circuit, black hole dampening, new SDA inductor custom made jantzen c-coils etc.  snd dynamat on the frames of the woofers snd passive radiators!

In a situation like this, get them!  If you can't convince the Missus, resell them, and go lick your wounds, but it's usually easier to justify them sitting there, preferably with something the better half likes in a small, expensive looking box on top of them.  Justify it as "I always wanted to know what they were like."  😺
