  1. IIRC these units never power off. They just mute to output when in “off mode”(dimming the meter light)
  2. Welcome to the site! Be patient and one of the members will respond soon.
  3. Completed the series this morning! Looking forward to season two.
  4. I had full intention of watching an episode, working out and completing a few to-do list items tonight……. I just watched the first SIX episodes.

    love the faceplates !
  6. I too appreciate (usually) the attempt at moderation here on CS. Group think and personal attacks have been commonplace on the thread. Replying with a measured response/question has been interpreted as passive aggressive, egotistical and defensive. Stating that the amp 'sounds good to me' is consistently met with attacks that one is refuting their measurements. They believe that statement is mutually exclusive. The thread moved from not performing to specifications to lethal. The "experts" state "laws" and "standards" with links to IEC etc. Pretty comical. "Theoretical" accusations of danger, death and dismemberment run rampant. It would be amazing for someone to make a deal with all of the smart people.... (who have been "building tube amps for 20 years", "owned some tech biz for 30 years", "I'm a lawyer") Buy an amp.... test your hypothesis. If the chassis is deadly - you will be reimbursed. I am sure the amp would be damaged but... If not - retract what you have alleged. There are no aptitude nor personal stability requirements to participate in forums... I find short replies to be very revealing and extremely humorous. "You suck" " What a pos" P.S. A "Sherlock Holmes" will make the association - congratulations, you know how to use a search engine 😇
  7. There are two things going on here... 1. You have to be familiar with Squid Games 2. You have to have recently had a dependent applying to colleges...
  8. The Marantz amps are not the major source of heat. It's the processors for the HDMIs .... I use a Marantz 7702 mkII in my system. It gets hot! This has affected it's performance - some glitchiness. I ended up buying a nice little fan unit for it: AIRCOM FAN
  9. Welcome to the site! I have found that amp to be a solid performer in my home theater. Runs cool and is very powerful.

Hard to watch how debilitating ALS can be. May his system complete his dreams.
  11. Welcome to the site! There are several member-techs on the left coast that may respond to your post. Your cost on that amp is amazing - it now costs that much to ship the damn thing coast-to-coast!
  12. He is originally from IL and had an opportunity.
  13. @zumbini actually called me last week! He is doing well and moving back to IL. I really miss Jack @aslan7 and @loner_t The chat room was filled with guys every morning enabling each other.
  14. Welcome to the site! You will much happier not being an audiophile! Good Luck
  15. My teenage son has a habit of introducing me to movies from the 60's and 70's. Last night we watched The Conversation staring Gene Hackman (one of my favorite actors) Francis Ford Coppola movie with John Cazale, Harrison Ford, Cindy Williams, Robert Duvall, Teri Garr... Coppola's style made me a bit uncomfortable - not really a thriller but very well done. Highly recommended
  16. Each year you can lower the height of the fence!
  17. Sonos released the replacement for their legacy Sonos Connect product - The Sonos Port It will process HiRez audio using their S2 app. It still glitchy and requires a 2.4Ghz network - this is a pita
  18. I don't see that bottle in the window moving - you obviously need more power!
  19. Fond memories of my father singing along....
