Welcome to the site! There are several member-techs on the left coast that may respond to your post. Your cost on that amp is amazing - it now costs that much to ship the damn thing coast-to-coast!

My teenage son has a habit of introducing me to movies from the 60's and 70's. Last night we watched The Conversation staring Gene Hackman (one of my favorite actors) Francis Ford Coppola movie with John Cazale, Harrison Ford, Cindy Williams, Robert Duvall, Teri Garr... Coppola's style made me a bit uncomfortable - not really a thriller but very well done. Highly recommended

Sonos released the replacement for their legacy Sonos Connect product - The Sonos Port It will process HiRez audio using their S2 app. It still glitchy and requires a 2.4Ghz network - this is a pita

I recently picked up a pair of the ST4's locally for $150 ... $600 seems steep. I really like them.

I don't see that bottle in the window moving - you obviously need more power!

I have been meaning to reply to this for quite a while. My teenage kids had surprised me with a very thoughtful Christmas present. I was very touched. Most fathers out there can feel like nobody in the house “hears” them. They see me air drumming and tapping my feet when we are playing tunes in the house and car. I sold my drum kit right after college and haven’t played since. They assembled everything after I went to sleep Christmas Eve. We had just watched this movie... It’s back to practicing paradiddles because I am awful now. Great and timely movie !

Spotify provides a summary of your listening preferences at the end of each year. Each year my family compares our personal summaries. My kids told me I need a life: 😊

I enjoy my KEF LS50's in my office system. I did try using them for my HT front channels - didn't have enough ooomph for my taste

I was hoping one of the more frequent attendee's would chime in... Typically: Members will host "themed" meals on predetermined evenings at their cabins. Attendees typically "cabin hop" to spend time with each other - listening to the system or systems in their respective cabins. In past years - Bob would give a nice speech. There have been years when some dedicated members would put together kits - for attendee's to purchase and build. It's an amazing experience to build one of Bob's (or another members) design with them in the same room! The reservation process begins EARLY - starting now for next year. I don't know the specifics for 2021 - I believe this thread is to start the discussion.

CS had a "sister site" that had much of the info you seek. Unfortunately it has been down for a while. The event takes place at Watershed Cabin in NC. The event is "organized" on this site... Here is a link to the you "attractions" in the area: https://www.watershedcabins.com/attractions.asp

I am not a fan of any film or TV program that includes scenes depicting NFL/College football players. The uniforms and "actors" never look authentic - neither do the scenes they are depicting. That being said - I believe Debbie Does Dallas is way over rated.

Nailed it...but you left off Bjork

So true - think of all the monthly dings we have in 2020 that we didn't have a decade ago. Most are voluntary (with the exception mobile phones which replaced our land lines.) Every month/quarter/year: SIRI (really difficult to get programming OTA) Directv (Necessary evil to time shift NFL) Verizon (I passed on having additional wireless services for automobiles) Netflix Amazon Prime (I had no idea they offered movies/music for the first four years of membership - subscribed for Prime shipping) Hulu Spotify Xfinity (Internet) Mcafee (Antivirus) VPN Quicken (subscription based now) Itunes (Cloud data) Office (subscription based now) Home Security Monitoring Ring Doorbell Netgear Support (another necessary evil after 90 days) Even my damn whole house generator now needs monitoring!
