L. Shankar, Chepleeri Dream was released on June 12, 2020. "Lakshminarayana Shankar, professionally known as L. Shankar, is widely considered a living legend, a pioneer, and a musical genius who has collaborated with giants such as Frank Zappa, Peter Gabriel, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna and many, many more. His solo albums have always drawn not only enormous interest from fans and critics alike but also showcase the collaborative spirit that is integral to Shankar’s art. Musicians, singers, visionaries, both known and obscure, have all come to pay tribute to this uniquely talented musician and perhaps even find new inspiration for themselves by performing on his recordings." Hello Innovatejlb, and welcome to thecarversite.com. We're glad you're hear. There is a lot of information here, much technical know how, and a pretty good bunch of folks that are happy to help. A very nice set of Carver gear, and that is what I call jumping into the deep end of the pool. The mkII upgrades for the amps will transform them from great to stellar. For the C-1, I highly recommend the BillD upgrade along with the recap. The BillD C-1 with those amps running your ALIIIs should sound phenomenal. Once you get to Novice status, please consider uploading some pics of your gear in the Members Systems area. We all like pics of all kinds of audio gear. JW Jones, Sonic Departure was released on August 14, 2020. "Hot shot Canadian blues guitarist and vocalist JW-Jones turns COVID-19 isolation into musical inspiration on his new release Sonic Departures. The set dropped August 14th, 2020 on Solid Blues Records and proves beyond a doubt that Jones is still fired up even though the virus has interrupted his touring life. Jones won the title of Best Guitarist at the 2020 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee and was anticipating a big year on the road before the pandemic shut the world down. Instead of declaring the whole year a wash and waiting things out, Jones forged bravely ahead and completed this album from tracks that his band had recorded last year in The Before Times. The resulting set is nine songs of guitar, vocal, and horn section glory that will keep a lot of blues fans going until live shows come back." You can read the rest of the review here...

Deep Purple, Whoosh! was released on August 7, 2020. "A full 48 years since the release of their stone cold classic hit ‘Smoke On The Water’ and with enough line-up changes to put The Fall (or the Sugababes – choose according to your own personal taste) to everlasting shame, Deep Purple have managed to wade through the rocky waters of the entire history of heavy metal and always come up smiling (inter-band bickering aside)." The Flaming Lips, American Head was released today, September 11, 2020. "At the top of their fifth decade, the Lips rekindle their past romance with Neil Young’s piano ballads, the Beatles’ psychedelic guitar tones, and Bowie’s stargazing anthems on a deeply personal album." Willie Nelson, First Rose of Spring was released on July 3, 2020. What more can be said of Willie Nelson? This is the 70th album from a man that's 87 years old, and this cover song is incredible.

How do I delete a photo from my attachments?
Sk1Bum replied to Walrus Gumboot's topic in The Welcome Shop (Please read first)
I went digging into group Permissions, and you will be able to delete the attachment once you get to Member status. The checkboxes and Trash can icon should automagically appear on either your 100th or 101st post. -

On my Android tablet, I tap the 3 horizontal bars on the upper right hand corner, then tap Account, then My Attachments. The check box is on the left, and the delete button is on the right. I hope that helps. -

If you are accessing via computer, click on the little down arrow to the right of your screen name in the upper right hand corner. One of the options is My Attachments. Click on My Attachments, and you will see a list of them. There will be a box on the right side of the list. Check that box, then click on the trash can icon. You may or may not get a confirmation box. If you're accessing via phone or tablet, the process may differ. -

That's what I use for my briskets, tri-tips, and ribs.

No, I do not. There are some very nice looking solid oak stands on ebay for $100. I may pick them up at some time in the future unless something else comes along. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-Made-Heavy-Duty-Speaker-Stands-Made-SOLID-OAK-Wood/174399526792

Well, I finally got Rod's custom crossovers installed, and I am well pleased. He did a great job. These speakers will probably bump my 40+ year old ESS's out of my bedroom. The ESS's will end up in a garage system, either here or at my grandson's. Now to tackle the Platinum's... I saw some Oak Platinum bodies on ebay for $300, but they're in a Los Angeles suburb, pickup only. While I wouldn't mind another trip to the coast, it might be a challenge to haul them back on my bike. Oh, lest I forget. A huge public merci beaucoup to Rod. You're the dude, man!

The Jazzcats, Come Fly With Me was released on June 26, 2020. "THE JAZZCATS take you back to the time when the Savoy Ballroom was at its peak with dance, laughter, and people toasting into the wee hours. Some of Sweden’s foremost young jazz musicians have come together in one band to carry on the tradition of jazz." You can read the rest of the review here...
