  1. I'm not sure yet. I may just stash both of them and see if they age as well as a single malt.

  3. Bob Dylan's Desire has been released on Mobile Fidelity Super Vinyl. 45 RPM, 180 gram, double album. It's a bit pricey at 74.99, but the pressing is limited to 1000 copies. I think it will double in value soon after the 1000 copies are sold. It's out of stock already on the Mobile Fidelity website, but their sister retail outlet, Music Direct still has copies in stock. https://www.musicdirect.com/vinyl/Bob-Dylan-Desire-(Numbered-45RPM-180G-Super-Vinyl-2LP)

  7. AC/DC PowerUp will be released on November 13, 2020. "This is AC/DC's first effort since 2014's Rock or Bust and comes after a period where it seemed like the group's future was in doubt. Rock or Bust arrived with the news that Malcolm Young was forced into retirement due to numerous health problems suffered in recent years, including lung cancer, heart problems, a stroke and dementia. His and Angus Young's nephew Stevie played rhythm guitar on the record. Malcolm died in November 2017." You can read the rest of the story here...

Congrats on the Amazings score! I recently picked up a pair of butchered Platinums, but they still sound great with a pair of M1.0t mkII opt002s. While I'm certainly no tech, if jarring the receiver works for a while, you might look for a loose connection somewhere. Maybe one of the techs will chime in with better suggestions. 11. Savoy Brown, Ain't Done Yet was released on August 28, 2020. "Longevity is often a rarity in the fickle world of rock, but when it comes to the blues, it’s never considered out of the ordinary. Most of the great blues artists of the last half century — be it B.B. King, Buddy Guy, John Mayall or Delbert McClinton are known for making music into their 80s or beyond, proving that their prowess doesn’t diminish with age, and in fact, often becomes more definitive and defined." The record comes out August 28th, 2020 thanks to Provogue Records/Mascot Label Group and reveals Trout in top form both musically and lyrically." You can read the rest of the review here...

  16. Seasick Steve, Love & Peace was released on July 24, 2020. "Seasick Steve has just released his gritty, new, foot-stomping album, ‘Love and Peace’. Powered by authentic country riffs, earthy blues tones and his own laid-back style, the 12-track album is cohesive in the best of ways. ‘Love and Peace’ lives and breaths in the infectious pull of every distinctively zesty backbeat, giving Seasick Steve the room to do what he does so well." 17. Stonila, Stonerotica was released on May 4, 2020. I can't find a review anywhere, so here's my take. Stonila is a Greek, hard rock, instrumental band. Their sound is almost heavy metal, but maybe not quite. They remind me of The Four Horsemen somewhat, and maybe some Wishbone Ash. I will play this several times for a few months, and then it will probably drift into that corner of a hard drive that doesn't get accessed much, kinda like the farthest corner of a spare closet. This one gets a 7 on the Sk1Bum 10 point scale
  18. The Georgia Thunderbolts, The Georgia Thunderbolts was released on August 21, 2020. "The Georgia Thunderbolts carry a timeless torch of southern rock on the band’s new EP, simply called The Georgia Thunderbolts. Released August 21st, 2020 on Mascot Records, the five-song set is a more-than-powerful debut effort that showcases not only an outstanding sound but also delivers the message that people need to stay positive and show love to each other." 20. Hello Patstachio, and welcome to thecarversite.com. We're glad you're hear. There is a lot of information here, much technical know how, and a pretty good bunch of folks that are happy to help. Many of us are long term Carver owners/addicts. I bought my first piece, an M-400t in the early 80's, 83 IIRC, and my second M-400t a couple of years later. I still have a pair of them, but I don't know if it's the same pair. I've bought and sold several, and I gave one to each of my daughters. 21. Natalie Slade, Control was released on June 5, 2020. "Sydney-based artist Natalie Slade has shared her stunning debut album Control, out via Eglo Records. Combining soul, jazz, folk and r&b, Natalie’s timeless vocals dazzle across 10 stunning tracks, perfectly complemented by rich, live instrumentation and vibrant production by Simon Mavin (Hiatus Kaiyote)." 22. Tokyo Motor Fist, Lions was released on July 10, 2020. "It seems like only the other day that the debut from Tokyo Motor Fist dropped – the band that features Danger Danger singer Ted Poley and Trixter’s guitarist/producer Steve Brown together with bassist Greg Smith (Ted Nugent, Rainbow, Alice Cooper) and drummer Chuck Burgi (Rainbow, Blue Oyster Cult, Joe Lynn Turner). With no new music likely from either Danger Danger or Trixter on the horizon this might well be the best fans can hope for. And if you love that party/blue sky/uplifting very melodic style of Hard Rock then you are in for a timely reminder of just how good it can be…. but you won’t be prepared for just quite how good."
  23. Are you sure that's not about an old man trying to get a night's sleep?

  25. Neal Black and The Healers, A Little Boom Boom Boom was released on June 26, 2020. "‘A Little Boom Boom Boom’ marks the return of the “Smoky Voice of Blues” with its 12th album for Dixiefrog Records. Recorded between France, Germany and Tennessee, this record shows Neal Black at its best. Fueled with blues, rock and even latino roots, “A Little Boom Boom Boom” synthesize as never Neal Black’s songwriting skills with the presence, for the recording sessions, of some famous guests such as Fred Chapellier, Robben Ford, Nico Wayne Toussaint or Tommy Schneller."
