  1. I kept the commercial resurfacer when I closed the shop. If you would like I can fix them for you as long as the damage is on the clear side.
  2. The problem with replacing the fluid is there is no “one size fits all” solution. The fluid comes in many different viscosities and affects the damping of the voice coil. Unless you can purchase original fluid from the manufacturer (you couldn’t back in the early 1980’s) it will be very difficult to match up one that doesn’t change the sound of the tweeter.
  3. 2, 8, 18, 19, 25 (whichever disc there is space on...)
  4. It sounds good to me.
  5. For the 2016 memorial collection I would like to see: Pete Fountain - St. Louis Blues Candye Kane - Queen of the Wrecking Ball Lonnie Mack - Cocaine Blues
  6. Maybe it could be a 2 disc set. One disc of songs from the artists who passed away in 2016, but also a second disc more in the spirit of the last project where the focus is on sound quality.
  7. I think they are worth around $600 if you were shipping them. $575 on CL is a good start but I would go as low as $500 for local cash in hand and no shipping problems.
  8. Your location for local sales or how comfortable/experienced you are safely packing fragile & expensive items for shipping will dictate your options.
  9. If it would be any help I can send you the amp out of one of my subs to help measure and compare to.
  10. The new Polks I have heard I didn't care for. If I was buying Polks I would look at the SDA series. If I needed to purchase a new model, I would audition Paradigm, Magnapan & Mirage. I'm not sure if the Mirage OMD-15's are still available but I thought that they sounded exceptional. I think it is most important that whatever you decide on come with a good audition/return policy. If you get then home and don't like them in your room and hooked up to your system, you should be allowed to exchange them for something else.
  11. If it were me I would install "slimdrivers" (free program) and it will hunt out the latest drivers and update/install them for you. When finished you can remove the program. Then you can copy over your backed-up files without worrying about outdated drivers.
  12. If any of your USB ports are USB 2.0 try one of them. Windows 7 often has issues with USB 3.0 ports before the driver is installed.
  13. Here is a song for 4/20...
  14. It sounds like Laser Rot to me. While fairly common with early LD's it also sometimes happens with CD's. Basically, it is a quality control issue where the reflective metal layer is not adequately isolated and over time it corrodes, oxidizes or similarly deteriorates.
  15. I always liked the Polk Monitor 10's. (I gave a pair to my parents around 30 years ago) I bet they sound great with the TFM-35.
  16. One of the thrift stores near me had a pair in decent condition for $100 and it took them almost a year to sell them.
  17. I hope this isn't a joke... http://www.columbiahouserecordclub.com/
  18. One of my favorite Zappa tunes...
