  1. When the hail-storm roof replacing ambulance chasers come by my house, they weren't this nice, or funny..., LoL
  2. Do tell, how is this integrated into your system? What a fabulous setup - the PL gear is just beautiful.
  3. Welcome @M1.5tman, glad you found us. There is a LOT of great stuff here on fixing and repairs... but for us Non-Tech types (I'm a non-tech type)..., there is an abundance of other good stuff on all things audio sharing the experience of the other members in pursuing everything audio - including Carver gear. Again, welcome and looking forward to hearing more about your audio experience. That TFM-55 is a great amp!
  4. Welcome, @DMarkB, Glad you found us, and joined. Can't wait to hear more about your Carver journey. And we'll try to get you hooked on OCCD (Obsessive Carver Collecting Disorder). 😉 Where in Houston are you located (what burrough?) I lived in Katy for a couple years working in oil and gas exploration technology. I have fond memories of Houston..., and want to go visit again, someday.
  5. Welcome, @Reload - Glad you found us. Looking forward to learning of your Carver journey.
  6. Welcome to TheCarverSite, @hauntedz28. Glad you found us. And this is exciting to find a guy who knows a guy with that many Carver amps! I hope he has one or two to sell... 😉 I'm looking for a TFM-75, just in case 😉 . Regarding parts lists..., it's hard to find anyone who has an accurate list to share, unless it's one they did yesterday, and is one from a DIY'er. and even then, it's likely out of date due to changes. Most also won't stand behind it for the same reason. I'm sure you'll understand that the paid, and in the business techs who are members here are also unlikely to share their work for free - which is understandable since it's really their I.P. They help out when they can, of course. (BTW, I'm not a tech.) And honestly, with recent supply chain changes, and typical capacitors becoming unobtainium, sourcing is one of those wonderful things that has to be redone, over and over, as what Mouser and Digikey have today, is not what they have tomorrow..., any "list" of parts becomes obsolete quite rapidly. As @Ar9Jim already noted, it's also somewhat dependent on your objective (refresh or ?). In the archives (the SEARCH tool is helpful to find), there are some historical threads that have some lists for some amps - I would use those, along with reviewing the schematics and parts lists, combined with a very healthy dose of building/checking your own parts list(s) for each amp project. It's a PITA, but it is what it is. Hope that is helpful to set expectations. To be clear, noone keeps active parts lists or project lists for Mouser orders for those reasons. the existing parts lists, and the schematics' parts lists in the service manuals are all out of date for the same reason.
  7. Yes, the OCCD force is strong with this one. 😉 Welcome back, Daniel !
  8. Welcome to TheCarverSite! Glad you found us. There are a few threads answering the question: What Carver amps are nulled to what other non-Carver amps? There's a list of all the t-modded amps that reference what amps the transfer-function i nulled to, around here somewhere. How Bob did it? In a circuit? or by adjusting his own circuit design..., I dunno - that's above my head! Again, welcome!
  9. Welcome, @Steve Snow, glad you found us. That's a good sub - and worth fixing, if it is not catastrophically damaged. Hang around a while, and add some content. We love pictures!
  10. Welcome to the site, @Tekerman. Glad you found us. And you'll fit right in, here! Post some pictures of your gear - we love audio pics.
  11. Where are you located? Do I read (between the lines) that you are outside of the US? The Carver Car Audio gear pops up on Ebay, every so often. There was one head unit, and a couple of amp designs, IIRC. There are manuals in the library for some of the Carver Car Audio gear, if you are interested in checking it out. There was one guy who built out a car configuration with 6 or 7 amps, powering a series of speakers in a VW CC sedan. I forget who - but search will find it! 😉 Again, WELCOME!
  12. Welcome @3M_Audio, glad you found us! Looking forward to your posts. Carver or other gear - we focus on Carver, but love to see other projects too. BTW, did you ever do any Carver Car Audio? There's a few threads here on that, too.
  13. @Ar9Jim, here's an example of "the power of social media." This morning, the new Bob Carver Facebook page (link in post above) had 1 like, and 2 followers. Now it's over 100 in both categories! I posted in a few places that the new FB Page had launched for Bob Carver Corp. That was 6 hours ago. Right now, here's what the stats are for the interest in Bob Carver Corp. Pretty damn significant. I realize others may have posted, shared, liked, and followed - making this number possible..., but social media can be used for good, and people can discern/filter/ignore the evil, and leverage the value..., just like anything else, even walking down the street one must do this. Jim, Really great to see Lerma's work on this Facebook page. Pretty soon, we'll have you up to some 3300 followers! 😉 Let Lerma know! Good post over there, today. Some other interesting things resulting..., I had an opportunity to reset a few pieces of miss-information. Someone is still saying that Bob Carver is dead, or owned by Emotiva..., I posted links to the press release from 2013 clarifying the separation from Emotiva - two guys were happy to learn the truth. I also invited a number of people with questions about Bob, and the new products, to contact YOU Jim, by joining over here on www.thecarversite.com, and posting in your "Ask Bob" thread. I'm busting my butt trying to keep the synergy and connective tissue of the FB site @RichP714 started in 2014 when he set that up. And the proof will be if we can see a difference here with new members. There's GOLD here on this site, and Facebook is aweful, at best, to retain institutional knowledge and build community like we do over here around Bob Carver Products past and current.
  14. FYI, @Ar9Jim created a new Bob Carver Corp. Facebook page...! If you are on Facebook, please check it out, like it, share it, follow it..., you know, help them get some momentum on social media 😉 Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/bobcarvercorp Facebook There are more pictures there on the FB site..., too.
