That is within my budget.

The VMPS’s are not in my budget so if I keep repairing speakers and selling them maybe I can afford them when I can find some here in Michigan.

I know I am in a different direction. Lol but these were free. And I have heard mixed reviews on them. So I won’t spend a lot of money on them at all. Just wanted to hear them. And after listening to them I can always sell them.

I picked up a pair of SM 155’s and I am looking for a 15” woofer for these. Or a replacement voice coil. If anyone has any infinity parts for this model please PM me.

Spring semester and exams are over next week and I need to get rid of some amps and then the speaker search will be on again. I am very interested in those gargantuas speakers but I need to find them a little closer to Michigan.

Never to late and no, I haven't found those speakers I have been looking for. I keep buying speakers here and there and listening to them for awhile and then selling them because I am not satisfied yet.

Thanks for the heads up. But aren’t those only rated at 200 watts? I really want something that handles at least 500 watts

So I was back to square one and with using the 4.0 I upgraded to a certain level. The polk's didn't really hold up to the power that they were receiving. Kind of disappointing. They sound like they had a rev-limiter built in. Maybe it was the crossovers. Because the CV's handled the 4.0 with no issues at all. I still have 1 set of CV PA's left and they will handle 400 watts pretty well. Looking to find some speakers that can really handle 500 watts per channel or more. Ideas please!!! And I dont want to have to have a sub to get all the bass I want.

Welcome to the site Frank. The MXR 150 was my first Carver piece that I also bought when I was in the service in Germany. I have held onto it for all these years and had @Nahash5150 refresh it for me. He definitely brought it back to life and I was able to enjoy it again. Since then I have been deep into the rabbit hole and haven't found any light at the other end of the tunnel. Good luck with your project and enjoy the site. Its a great place to be.
