Hi everyone!

Hoping to connect and learn from all of you!

I am a Bob Carver fan, love the design and audio experience his equipment provides.

I am enjoying listening to, as well as refurbishing, the following equipment -

Carver C-1 Preamp

Carver C-2 Preamp

Carver TX-2 Tuner

Carver TL-3200 CD Player

Carver M1.5T Amp

Phase Linear 4000 Preamp

Phase Linear 400 Amp

Phase Linear 700B Amp

Everything is needing service/repair, and I'm hoping to get some guidance from the experts here in the forums.

Cheers!

-Greg

Hello Greg and welcome.

You'll fit in well here with the gear you have.

I live in the Mill Creek area and there is another Carver member also in this neck of the woods.

Welcome Greg! Nice collection of gear you have there! If you are going to keep I suggest refurbing it to make it last another 20-30 years and sound great! There are good techs to help if you need it.

Welcome Greg,

I'm a big Carver fan too. I've had much of my equipment rebuilt and am impressed with the sound clarity.

I'm also in WA, specifically Marysville, WA.

Enjoy!

Hello Greg, and welcome to thecarversite.com. We're glad you're hear. ;) There is a lot of information here, much technical know how, and a pretty good bunch of folks that are happy to help.

Very nice collection of gear, all of it popular here.

Once you get to Novice status, please consider uploading some pics of your gear in the Members Systems area. We all like pics of all kinds of audio gear.

In the meantime, kick your shoes off, turn up the music, and welcome aboard.

Welcome to the group!   Very nice collection of gear, there.  If you are electronically talented, unlike myself, you'll find plenty of guidance to help you refresh it all here.   If you soldering inept, like I am, there are also lots of folks here who can do it with the upmost professionalism, and leave you wondering how all that amazing sound had been hidden in there for so long.

Good luck with it, either (or both) way(s)!

In the mean time, join in the fun and enjoy the music!

Thanks everyone! Feeling quite chuft from all the warm comments, sounds like I definitely found my people. I’m already feeling more confident with doing some of the work myself just reading through the forums and seeing what others have shared. What a great place!

cheers 😊

Hi Brent,

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll definitely give Les’ kits a try.

Cheers,

Greg
