My name is Ron and I joined this board for information and for gettting to know more fans of home audio.  I am a longtime member of Audiokarma and also The Phoenix Audio board. I currently run a White Oak upgraded to Rev C PL-400 controlled by a CT-24 preamp. I have a M1.5T, M200T and a C1 preamp coming so I will be having fun next week

 

What drew me to this board was info on the C1 preamp and I saw BillD's mod thread which got me intrigued. This is something that I plan to look into

 

The Ct-24 I currently run is ok, I have had none of the issues that I have regarding slow tuning or the gold caps coming of the RCA jacks but I still feel it's a weak point in my system

 

The rest of my system is

 

a/d/s C2/3 cassette deck

dbx DX5 cd player

Pioneer PL-550 TT (I have several others TT's but this is what I have currently cycled into use)

 

I am running a pair of Cerwin Vega E-712s at the moment but have modded Infinity SM-120s in the garage and many other components/speakers that see ocassional use or are just collecting dust because I can't bear to let them go... much to the chagrin of my wife LOL

 

I am a huge collector of record albums, I have about 15,000 but have been selling some off to get by until my work situation improves. I am pretty well known on the other boards as a straightshooter and general all around good guy. I am looking forward to meeting more cool people here

 

If I know something, I try to share, if I don't know something, I keep my mouth shut and learn

 

Anyway, glad to be here, will spend sometime reading but if I can contribute positively or help others, I will

Welcome aboard, Ron! I joined up here about a year ago, and I can't even begin to tell you how much I've learned-the people here are so knowledgable, AND so willing to help out, it's simply awesome.

 

The only drawback is that most of us are infected with OCCD, and it is highly contagious...:->

Welcome Ron!!! You'll find a WEALTH of knowledgeable and SUPER friendly people here :) I joined just earlier this year and feel like my knowledge of not only Carver gear, but home audio and electronics in general have increased 100 fold!!! Hope you stick around and share your gear and experiences :)

Welcome Ron, I am new as well, however you are far more knowledgeable than I am... with that said the folks on this site are always willing to help with any questions, even ones you may consider stupid . Nice place to hang out at!!

Uh Oh!   Hes already exposed!  Probably too late!  It is simply amazing how my Carver gear count keeps going up.

 

Welcome to the forum, the great people here are helpful and knowlegeable about Carver equipment and audio in general.  If you browse these forums, you will learn a wealth of information.  I learn something new everyday.  If you have questions, just ask.  Someone will usually chime in with helpful information.
