I love this thread! I use "Days of New" to test sound field and speaker placement to find the sweet spot and move it around without losing it or having it collapse. The guitar work will stand 30 to 40% outside your speaker placement.

One word: Hoard. They are so rare, I buy all the SoundStream I can. I actually have those plus a few T-1 tuners, 4 DA-1 amps, 6 DA-2 amps, 4 RA-100 MKIII amps, three phono section cards, two SN-1 networks, a dozen or so remotes, a C-2 surround processor/preamp with remote, 10 keypads, an IR remote receiver, a couple of speaker switches, a couple of power strips and a super rare Simul-Source remote keypad test unit. The SS C-1 is the closest thing to the Conrad Johnson Premier 17LS-S2 that I have ever heard. I don't want to hijack this thread, so maybe I'll start a new one... Welcome Chris-I also have my HT set up with 5/1 HT but put the last channel in a dedicated 2 channel mode with my M1.0t an a separate set of speakers. No switch needed-Harmony one takes care of everything.

Old set of EPI's are a good choice. Can be had pretty cheap also on CS with local PU.

Any one tried these? 24bit/96k No compression. I know I cant play these on my Sony Juke box but I can play on my OPPO 83SE.
