Try moving them a little further out from the walls then back in-they are sensitive to placement and distance from the wall. Then play with toe in and out.
Very nice speakers I looked at and auditioned a pair when I was speaker shopping (they actually made it to my short list). I personally found them to be a -how do I say this---brightt or precise sounding for my ears. I settled with a pair of B&W 805's if that tells you anything. I would shag my amp (if you can) down there and take a reference CD (at least) with you and give them a listen. The price is certainty right!!.AG says the average price has been around 1770.00!
PS
I had the chance to listen to a pair of ARX A5 speakers the other day-blown away! @ 850.00 new.
I concur! I bought a pair for my office system and they still surprise me with their sound. Best 90.00 I have ever spent I think. 6 Ohm load, but as I do not play at high volume, they play good with all I have tried. Inc. some low watt tube amps.
Welcome Jeffery-Get ready with that C1 to just sit back and enjoy the music. In the mean time come on in and sit a while. We all good folks here with lots of patience and won't run you over..But we do LOVE Pics!
WOW! Z your right! I played it on my 24/96 THX Computer system with a 10" sub on 6X direct and then on 2X stereo-then burned it and am playing it now on the main Denen-M-1.0t MK2 op2 on the B&W's with the dual Sunfire True subs
Total diffrence!
I have not auditioned the newer ones. I bought a used pair(Had to drive to Austin and back) as the seller would not ship I got a good price on a pair of 805S's with B&W stands filled with lead shot and sand for 1300.00 5 years ago. Find a pair you like and buy used for half the price. I have 2 subs and have actively taken the low end HZ off of the B&W's so I just love it. So you see compromises vers funds can be made and make you happy. The other one I just loved was a pair of Vanderstieens 3s Sig. They were just ugly and I had 3 young children and their cat living with me at the time.
But I would still consider a pair.
Here is my search

Welcome to the forum! Good to see another Tex. Brother. Used to live in Austin had a house on the Stiner Ranch on the water. When it was still a ranch! Loved the music sceen-was involved with Jan Beeman and the old Armadillo.
Those A-B- C- and D-vorces are a big B to be involved or close to!
Stay around a while and enjoy the company.
Be patient you can get a good price. Mine had been painted white but had a new MKII driver- but seller did not want to do the tighten up himself.
BTW Welcome Back-They sending you out again soon?
I was steered by the late great BillD to the True MKII that I have now. After doing the tighten up on the grounds as he suggested I have had no problems and just love it-it will shake the house and put the cows off giving milk! Or just be there and behave when it's set to behave.
I have a pair of B&W's and found 2 subs work real well. I have a smaller Mirage 250w sub that takes it on at 80Hz down to 60Hz then a Carver True sub that takes everything below 60Hz. They are both off a one channel sub out on my Denon 2808 and sit abot 10' apart in the corners. I like it very much as the lower fq. do not go to the B&W's they can work their magic on the mid and highs. Then the M.10t MKII Op2 can drive them hard no problem.
Wow that was some serious industral thinking! Not only protect your speaker but give you a handel to carry it with!
I WONDER those subs had some very powerfull amps if you could not put a simple low impedance pre for your guitar then just use it for a bass amp?
