XRCD are redbook CD at the player level. 16 bit @ 44.1 kHz. It was a proprietary mastering process developed by JVC.

The CD layer of a hybrid sounds like a regular CD. The SACD layer has way more data.

The number of available SACD titles is well less than 1% of what is available on vinyl. Does that help?

Hi Kevin, We have the schematics and maybe an original parts list for the '16 in the manual database. The BillD mod was for the C-1/C-11. The C-6/16 had more in common withe the C-19, they are a bit of a different animal and not nearly as common as the C1/11 InnovativeAudio in Surrey currently has a C-16 for sale, I assume they could service one. I have dealt with them a few times, good folks. Which dbx unit do you have? -
I have (?) a set of Q50's I loaned to my niece 8-9 years ago. Really liked them.

Had a set of those ages ago. A little light on the bottom end, good mids. Late 80's build I think.
