Most of us never use the ATTACH PHOTO TO POST option for just that reason (limited size). Try using the INSERT IMAGE applet which allows photos up to 14MB and auto resizes to 800x600. For instructions go to the INSERTING MEDIA section of the FORUM HELP topic.

I don't disagree with most of what you've said, but "rules is rules" and we don't take kindly to personal attacks. As my mom used to remind me (often) "it's not what you say but how you say it". It's a center channel speaker Gary so he only has one. At any rate he let me know he got it worked out using the battery trick.

If you can't find a wiring diagram it won't hurt the speaker to try it both ways. If the wires are reversed you should notice that the frequency balance is "off". Reversed wires should also change the driver phase so try the battery trick. Intermittantly connect a 9V battery across the speaker terminals while watching the cones. When the internal wiring is correct all of the cones should move in the same direction.

I'm pretty sure only the SDA-series speakers use the interconnecting cable and require a common ground amp.

If you are looking for adjustability an active balance or DI (direct interface) box might be a better choice. They are designed to adapt a single-ended source to a balanced input but can be configured to pass either. I use an Aphex 124A ($50 used) but ART, BBE, Behringer, Boss, DBX, Nady and others make them too. (Make sure the balance box you choose has variable gain controls
