dcl 3,276 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Clarence Carter, Patches. Picked up over the weekend from the For Free box at a vinyl shop. "Carter's biggest hit came in 1970 with his version of "Patches", first recorded by Chairmen of the Board, which was a UK number 2 hit and a US number 4. The record sold over one million copies, and received a gold disc awarded by the R.I.A.A. in September 1970, just two months after its release and won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Song in 1971."
Community Admin AndrewJohn 10,476 Posted January 27, 2015 Community Admin Posted January 27, 2015 A little nostalgia...
dcl 3,276 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 More nostalgia. Collecting LPs once owned but given away. Avalon has been a ghost in my inner soundscape for quite a time. Didn't sound this good back then but no arguing with the ghost of the past. 1
