    New Jazz Albums

On my trips to Philadelphia, at an Abe Fisher 'hole-in-the-wall' called Dizengoff, I hear Alone in South Carolina often. It is also an indication that it is close to 1858ET, and a polite request to finish up the Hummus plate in front of me and trudge to my hotel-du-jour. You can hear the 2015 offering in it's entirety here Back To The City. Bit of his CV (copied, of course)... "Hoffman started playing guitar at the age of 6, and the oud a few years later. He studied guitar privately, and later attended the prestigious Rubin Academy of Music in Jerusalem. His search for new musical experiences led him first to Amsterdam, and then to New York City, where he played jazz with both established musicians and up-and-coming talents like Jason Lindler, bassist Avishai Cohen, and Claudia Acuna."
  2. Toshiba had a competing video format to BluRay, called HD-DVD. The SD9200 should play the HD-DVD discs, which have 5.1 Audio. I have a Pioneer DV593S, which could play SACDs and DVD-A discs, which was released around the same time period as the SD9200.

  5. I want to get UD-SACD version. Surprised that the vinyl is 45-rpm and not 33.
  6. 14 days in the US, but regional policies may vary.

  8. It is small, but not small by any means. The 105 makes an excellent audio player. Future home of an Audio man-cave?
  9. @TonyWI am in zip 20152 near Rt 50/Rt 28. Welcome to CS. I turn off all my gear when done listening (but leave the cables in place). During inclement weather, I unplug all my gear.
  10. Bob's original Stereophile Challenge should have taught MQA to not mess with Bob. LOL.
  11. Despite his early days being with many greats, Heavy Weather, is perhaps the most memorable one for me.
  12. Welcome @Don Wrightto the Carver party. The M500 (and M500t) are great amps, and the C4000 is an excellent pre. Which Tuner and CD player did you purchase? Pictures are always welcome.
  13. Do you have a single flat LAN on your home network?
  14. Did you try using IP addresses to point to your DLNA servers?
