  1. Just found this site, Carver fan for many years. Currently running C-4000 with Adcom 555ii, Audio Alchemy digital drive system III with Polk SDA 1Bs. Have another system I’m building and might search for a carver cd player.

  2. I don't have any original RCA jack assemblies left but I can help you with the binding posts for your TFM-6. I think these came out of a TFM-25. The tips of the threaded areas are crimped to make the binding posts "captive", which is to say they won't come out. With a bit of finesse combined with brute force you may be able to drive one into the threaded hole in the original assembly. PM me your address and I'll drop one (or more of needed) into a bubble mailer and send it to you. I'll get it out today if you do this before I get a shower and leave to run some errands.

  3. My daily dose. The Rippingtons, Weekend in Monaco (album). With this morning's market drubbing, I may need a triple dose.

  6. This caught my eye. Directly to Roon Users - my lifetime subscription just increased in value. Roon has been adding new source streaming to their library (originally QOBUZ and Tidal) for global catalog availability. This is the latest addition, and it fits in the entire ROON ecosystem for managing digital streaming. I've already got my short list going. The meta data I can push to my big screen during a concert playback is huge, and really magnifies the streaming experience beyond just listening...,

  7. Greetings all, I finally, FINALLY got my hands on a couple Carver items. Yeah I know, I know Carvers are available everywhere but being FAR from w2ealthy, some of us have to start somewhere. Might anyone be able to point me in the right direction her to looks for carver pre-amp connectors?

  9. I have had a Carver CT-7 and M1.0T for some time now. Klipsch RB81-ll and a MK V75-ll sub move the air. CDs are played on a Sony DVP-S7700, and vinyl on a Technics SL-D2. I don't listen to very much vinyl. I have a Sony Blueray player as well as a Panny Plasma TV for Youtube and such with a Roku Ultra. Most items were bought used (the turntable and Sony DVP I found at flea markets for $20 each.) If you are from SW PA you may know of Trader Jack's flea market. This is a fairly inexpensive system overall, the Klipsch being the only things I bought new. The Carver pieces I bought from a local dealer that had closed up shop and was emptying his garage so he could move to Florida, (I also bought a pristine Sunfire True Sub Mark ll from him for my living room home theater, but it was too much for my high rise apartment, so I sold it.) I found all of the used stuff when I wasn't even looking specifically for it. I was at that local dealer's house buying a used DSLR and he showed me his garage full of stuff. I'm lucky to be single and have a guest room dedicated to my stereo setup (and ammunition press), but it is still guest friendly with a futon. I followed Bob Carver's instructions for speaker setup and find the sonic holography impressive. I'm considering upgrading to AL-lll plus speakers and possibly a Nelion upgrade for my amp. I load my own ammo because I shoot NRA Bullseye/Precision Pistol with an 8" Colt Python in a local league. Regards, Dave.
