  1. Rich, Have you posted system pics anywhere on the site? Would love to see photos of the "tower of power":-) From one Carver/Klipsch fan to another....!! Mark
  2. Welcome aboard, Bob - glad to have another Carver fan with us. You will find a bunch of the best people you could ever hope to meet, as well as a wealth of knowledge here! Mark
  3. Chuck, I'd try a boat shop - I would think they would know what to do, or at least send you in the right direction. Plus, most of them are looking for any projects/work this time of year... Mark
  4. Welcome aboard, Ron! I joined up here about a year ago, and I can't even begin to tell you how much I've learned-the people here are so knowledgable, AND so willing to help out, it's simply awesome. The only drawback is that most of us are infected with OCCD, and it is highly contagious...:-> Enjoy, Mark
  5. Right diaphragm, wrong frame. (It fits the physically smaller opening in the AT-12.) How about this one? Tweeter AND the 2 midrange drivers, at $25 with 3 days to go...? Thanks for the link , but they won't ship to Canada so that one's out ... For the record .... people who don't ship to Canada SUCK !!! If you want, I can buy it, and ship it for you...?

  8. Casey, Instead of the spray paint, try the Rustoleum oil based gloss black in a quart. It's in a gray can, and it's one of the few oil based products that hasnt been shut down. Put it on with a foam brush, and If you apply it in a warm (>65) enviroment, all the brush strokes will flatten out as it dries. THEN, rub it down with 000 steel wool, blow it off with a compressor or canned air, and apply another coat. I followed this process for my stand for my NT gear here. Mark
  9. There's one here for a BIN of $27. http://www.ebay.com/itm/CERWIN-VEGA-DT-5-TWEETER-For-AT-12-2-avail-4-ohm-Very-nice-condition-/171169511612?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item27da7f78bc
  10. I've had that CD for the last 3 months or so. I like most of it, Steve doesnt sing much...lol Nice find in Vinyl, bet it sounds very nice. I walked into a high end store that had it playing on a large set of Harbeth M40 They only had the one opened copy, but they had no problem selling it to me for $20.... Why I DIY so much.... Thanks for the input, Perry. Do you normally like Eide? I don't run into many people that gave heard of her...
  11. That's a nice find on the PF... What's "MOFI"?
  12. Also picked this up the other day. I am intrigued, as I LOVE Edie Brickell, but I never knew Steve Martin was a singer... Not sure what to expect, but hey - sometimes that's half the fun!
  13. Look what showed up today:-)
  14. I've read about them, but haven't seen any yet... Looks like a replacement for SACD/DVD Audio. Where do you get them?
  15. Very nice set-up, Bob... I'll bet that 4.0t really makes those Vandys sing...:-)
  16. Welcome to the site, Bob! The 4.0t is a killer amp, with TONS of headroom. You my look into having it re-capped (all the electrolytic capacitors replaced, as the have a ~20 year life cycle). BTW, what was the amp that got kicked to the curb? :-) Mark
  17. Definitely a conversation piece...! How do they sound?
  18. Welcome, Greg! Always good to have another vinyl source... Was looking at the Boston first pressing you have on your site...

Ditto - I really enjoyed that one as well. It had a couple of really good turns in it. Who knew Tom was into vinyl too?:-)

  22. That's a gorgeous rack, Casey - er wait, that didn't come out right... That's some good looking wood - no, that doesn't sound right either. :-) I took a different spin on the storage solution - I post some pics for your consideration later. Those titles do add up quick, don't they?
  23. Sounds like an awesome rebuild! Photos...?
  24. Welcome aboard! Canada is pretty well represented here - glad to have you, and enjoy the new gear! PS, we LOVE system pics...!
