  1. They sound good from the start, but improve as time goes on! The changes are subtle. My guess is they are still breaking in! I am very pleased with mine! BarryG

  3. I have seen Dickey Betts several times once with Allman Brothers, and with Great Southern! One time my brother took me to a Marshall Tucker Band concert, he did not know the opening act was Dickey Betts in a new band after Great Southern. Betts was a better act than the headliner ! I pointed out to my brother that the guy playing the red guitar looked like Dickey Betts, found out later he was the opening act! That was at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md. Lol, my brother never heard of Dickey Betts, but recognized some of the material from the Allman brothers catalog! Have not had an 8 track since my quadraphonic stereo days in the 70s! BarryG

  22. The 30th works for me! That is a day I have history with. It will be the 9th anniversary of my trauma event that nearly took my life. I was in a bad accident that day, In wrong place at wrong time and was runneth over by a forklift. That radically changed my plans for New Years Eve and radically changed my life as well. I don't dwell on this, but let me say IT IS GOOD TO BE ALIVE!!! I am glad I live in Baltimore and we have such an incredible trauma team. I was in the hospital for 6 months to give you an idea how serious it was. That is all I will say about it, So I am all in with a toast to BillD on this day! I often think of him when listening to the Pretender by Jackson Browne! BTW I am enjoying the reference discs. I never heard of Patricia Barber before, wow, that was awesome. I have listened to both discs several times. BarryG

    It's Here !!!

When I burn from flac, or copying cd's I exclusively use Taiyo Yuden discs. the one that has the watershield coating. they last a long time. I also have very few bad burns from them, and they play in my Carver SD/A 390t as well. Taiyo Yuden has acquired JVC and changed the cds name to JVC watershield. They are glossy white ink jet ready discs and look nice with a well designed label. the only problem with these discs are they are thicker from the extra coating, so some front load automotive players have difficulty loading them. They are more expensive, but worth it in my opinion. BarryG
