Success! Speakers installed and system back up. I tested it with the movie Hobbs and Shaw. The opening action screen wife came running downstairs and said it sounded like I was in a stadium and the floor upstairs was rumbling. I haven’t had a chance to listen as much as I want to yet but so far pretty impressive.

Finally finished ceiling speaker installation. What a job! I had to open the ceiling up in 3 places because I had to bore through 4 support beams. I could have used a flex drill bit but needed to see if anything was attached to the beams. Found HDMI and Ethernet cables on one, 2 water pipes on another and electrical cable on the 3rd. It’s cheaper to patch the holes than it would’ve been if I had hit anyone of those hazards. Tomorrow should be fire up day after I setup the pwr amps to drive the ceiling speakers and run Audyssey. Once everything works it’ll be time to retire the Marantz AV8802a and setup the AV8805. I’m going to use 2 M1.0t mkII’s to drive the ceiling speakers so they will never be starved for power.

I think you're in the middle. I think there's a member in N.C. and a couple in and around Alexandria, VA. Welcome to a great group of unselfish people. -
I have 5 of his CD's. Always good to pull them out every now and then.

You found a great group on this forum. I doubt you'll be disappointed. Lots of info and everyone helps freely. Welcome!!!

Remembering listening to M1.0t mkII and M500t mkII I have to say the answer is yes. Looking at spec's and all being equal or close it shouldn't matter or sound different but in reality there is difference in sound quality.

Welcome Elmer. You found a great forum of people and a wealth of knowledge. I have found over the years everyone is very friendly and open to sharing knowledge. We all will help you get more equipment. You will try to resist acquiring more equipment, but we''ll become enablers at that point. LOL 😂

Welcome to the rabbit hole. We all say we have enough but end up still getting more!

Welcome to the forum. Check with L T loner, he has one with a remote. Keep in mind the remote only controls the volume. Anything other than that has to me done manually.

The Marantz is a great option. If it doesn’t have to be the current models the AV8802a or 77xx are great too. That 7704 mentioned has all the features you’re looking for too. They also have the USB option you are looking for.

I’m listening to one of my Smooth Jazz compilations from 2004 I forgot about. I have to say it’s sounding sooooo....... good.

That’s quite a collection. Welcome to the world of OCCD. Yes you fit in here perfect.

I don’t have the file but can scan the cover.

I run 3 subs all the time. They are especially appreciated listening at lower levels. I found I don't have to crank the volume up for good Bass and still hear details in the front speakers.

Welcome Skids. You’re not the oldest one here. ?

Welcome Will Dew. The upgrades for the C1 and M500t that a few members suggested are well worth it. I can tell you they are jaw dropping and will give you an Oh Wow factor. It blows the stock sound quality away.
