I have a 222, but the DBX cassette deck I use now is the Yamaha K-2000......grin

Paradigm (pronounced Par a dig em.......grin) are my favorites. I own Monitor 9s for my 2 channel setup and Monitor 11s for my HT setup. 3200 sub for 2 channel, 3400 for HT......grin

Welcome to the site! If it was me I would buy those amps and get them as fast as I could if they are in good cosmetic shape! Sounds like you are tech savvy so I have confidence you can fix them. Mainly digital, cd, dat, minidisc. But I like analog cassette too, prerecorded. Haven’t had time to clean and cut albums to tape yet. I want to because I like doing that.....grin

Who uses which media for primary listening and why?

I primarily use cd’s. I do use DAT, analog cassette, and minidisc as well. Cassette will be recorded from cd or from premanufactured cassette. DAT is recorded from cd as well. Occasional FM stereo too. No streaming on the 2-channel system yet......grin -
I think it depends on how vintage you want them to be. I like the black myself.......grin

My tastes in music has changed since I have gotten older. But, my enjoyment of listening has improved because of the better gear I have now.....grin
