I have the Yamaha BD-S1065 BluRay player for my Home Theater setup and I like it. I have had it for several years, still works great. I like your stories Butcher, the entertainment value is priceless.......😀

I shut my gear off when I am through listening to it. I have the gear plugged into a ups surge protector and the amps plugged into the wall.

I like the Paradigm series 11 and series 9 models. I will admit I have not heard many brands of speakers, but they sound good. I use them with different Carver amps ( M1.5t, M400t cubes right now, M500t, M1.0t, and soon a pair of M200t) and my Yaqin MS-110B tube amp. They are 91db at 1 watt, handle 180/150watts. And they do pass the WAF.......grin

Nice score string and welcome to the site! You won’t be disappointed with those amps and a nice set of speakers! Once refurbished, they should sound great. Several techs here able to refresh them, may be a waiting list.......grin

Welcome Kman! I recommend Nelion audio too! I just had two amps serviced by him and another on the way for an MKII mod. He does great work. You won’t regret sending it and the money is well spent.......grin

Welcome B Wilson! You’re at the right place to ask that kind of question. I am not a technician either, I just repair my own gear. If you can’t find any replacement parts for it, could you possibly use another Carver amp to drive the sub speaker?

Welcome aboard with your new amp! It’s a great sounding amp when refurbished and we have technicians here that do great work. It’s a great amp to crank up the tunes with.......grin
